In case anyone is interested, yes, that is a real Australian Aboriginal story. And yes, we really do call them willy willies. It comes from an Aboriginal language but we're not sure exactly which one as there are over 250 of them to choose from.

alright, now I'm not sure how to work actually playing this game into this format for a few reasons.
1) it's usually a two player game but with posting speeds that would take too long to have each player pair off and play on their own, word by word.
2) if we make it more than one player then it's just gonna be a bunch of one word posts for a while, that's no fun.

so, do we want to just pretend the characters played and just randomly decide who wins each round (with a random number generator)

or do we want to do something with PMs. I was thinking: name a category, each player makes a list and sends it to me (I'd send mine to Furr to ensure I'm not cheating), first repeat in the turn order loses?

or am I making this too complicated?

I think this seems like the best idea.
Although the roos will probably struggle a bit. Remember they've only lived with humans for a month.

Random number generation is probably the better one.

Tesla might have a bit of weighting, due to the high intelligence and perception.

alright, so I'm gonna assign numbers to every character to represent their chance of losing.
2 numbers for average players, one each for jake and joey cause they have a disadvantage, and one each for Tesla and Met (he and maria watch a lot of TV to get info but she's kinda ADHD so she gets a 2 for getting distracted).

I'll run the numbers until there's one winner for a round, then run for multiple rounds. I'll do it tomorrow, If anyone has an objection to their ranking I'll take recommendations til then.

Tesla's going to be good at it so she should have an extra number rather than one less, I think.

no, the numbers are for chances of losing. so when i roll a number, that character has lost. the good ones only have a 1/x chance of losing, the regular ones have a 2/x chance to lose, and the roos have a 3/x chance each.
though I may have wanted to weight it more extremely. here's my chart of my first 5 rounds. Xn means they were the nth to lose in that round, W is a win.

Jake and Joey somehow hold their own but still lose, the lions take 2 wins each, Tesla was last to lose in the first 2 rounds, maybe got bored for the next couple then got back on game for round 5, still no win, and Maria pulls out the last round.

now do we want to react to each round or a whole chunk? I'm gonna post for the first round for now, if we want to do it by chunk I'll post for the other 4 rounds in my next post

I'd say the others were going easy on the twins.

It's also very likely that Tesla—being the bundle of socially anxious nerves she is—choked once it was one-on-one. Feeling discouraged, she probably didn't put much into rounds three and four, then got some of her nerve back for five. Knowledge she has, confidence she does not.

I feel Jack would get genuinely excited if he got either first or last place. Whenever he's playing with a group, he always ends up being in the middle ground. When he's playing with one other person, he often wins 50% of the time and looses 50% of the time.

I'm back, but not with Delilah and Mario. Nope, instead I'll be joining back with their brother, E! He had a character sheet before as a minor character, but I've touched it up a bit to make him more defined and proper. Hope he fits!

Character Name: Elliot Cu'cua (Prefers to be called E)

Color: Pink, the color of his eyes

Type: Minor

Species/Breed: Dingo

Age: 6 human years = 23 pet years

Appearance: E is light brown with dark brown markings on his arms, legs, chest, and all across his back, along with light, almost pastel, pink eyes. He’s pretty muscular for a dingo, rigid and built with a few scars here and there. He wears sash with a holster in the back, which holds his many homemade boomerangs and other things of his, such as his phone and a couple baggies of snacks. He wears brown leather wrappings around his ankles and a few leather bracelets on his wrists, one of which has charms of his, Delilahs, and Marios collar charms.

Personality: E isn't exactly what you’d think he would be from looking at him. Sure, he’s rough and tumble like his pet sister and can't resist a race or a quick sparing match, but underneath all that he’s actually a pretty nervous creature. E is terrified of confrontation and hates fights, often electing to stay in the back instead of trying to break it up, unless he thinks things are going too far. Despite his fears, he tries his best to be caring and kind and, much like his parents, helps others even when he doesn't have to. He’s a very sweet lad, he swears it, and he just needs to people to stop seeing “big scary not-a-dog” and start seeing “Elliot!”

History: As a young pup, E was rescued off a ship and saved from being shipped off to be sold as a pelt by the Cu’cua family. They stayed in Australia with him at their protective reserve, carefully nursing him back to health and caring for him. To no ones surprise, E wasn’t exact to keen on returning to the wild and was adamant on staying with the human couple. Despite already having two young and exotic pets, they caved and brought him home with them. E adapted to his new role as big brother to the pets very quickly, but he still has yet to properly adapt to interacting with others that aren’t his family.

Just so you know though, Mickey, there's currently a tornado just outside the town, the sirens are sounding and everyone is sheltering until it passes. We'll get you in as soon as we can but Elliot willchave tocwait u til it's safe to come out to join the others. You can definitely start posting his reaction to the twister if you want though.

yeah, we'll try to move things to a point where E can join up with the others soon. but he's fine by me.

Appearance: His fur is mostly orange. He has black triangle shaped markings on his snout, and black "socks" on his arms and legs. The tip of his tail, his tummy, and his snout are white. He has some extra fluff at the top of his head, which he has dyed green.

Personality: He's pretty confident socially, but he's afraid of being left alone. He loves to play video games. He's also kind of forgetful.

Other info: He enjoys racing games, and wants to be a racecar driver someday.

Also this character is now called John Granger to avoid getting him mixed up with a character from an ongoing fanfiction of mine.

The only other thing I'd add to the sheet is a bit of back story, Foxy. Helps us to get to know the character a bit better and also helps you to play him more consistently since you'll know where he's coming from.

Other than that, welcome to the RP! Oh, and please edit the post with his new name to avoid confusing us here. ^^

He used to be a wild fox like his brother in Babylon Gardens, but they were both domesticated when they were 1 year old. Their owners are cousins.

And why did his owner move to EA?

We're just starting a new day so there's nothing too major to know about. The tornado was just a bit of rough weather that happened yesterday.

He just heard it was a nice place to live, I guess.
Is there something special about EA?

It was built with unusual pets in mind and has habitats for them. One doesn't tend to move to a town "because it's a nice place to live" though. One tends to have a motive such as moving for a job or for health reasons, or to be closer to or further from someone, or to adopt a more attractive lifestyle, etc.

It's fine if you haven't really thought about that yet and don't really want to include it but I just find it helps to give you a base to build the character from. ^^
