I assume Sleet is male, due to the overwhelming majority here being so and them likening themselves to Rick and Diss. But a number of their avatars are female characters...

No it's throwing me off because it contradicts the arguments that he is male. I havnt seen many others use female avatars so it leads you to think Sleet is actually female.

Of course some of the people on the forum who know Sleet personally have been a little careless with their choice in personal pronouns in referring to Sleet. Maybe that could be a clue...

I can assure you, they aren't being careless. Everyone who does know Sleet's gender respects his/her wishes to keep it secret.

Fairly certain. I dredged up data from about a decade ago, tracked down a social service and cross referenced. He actually has an extensive forum presence elsewhere. Multiple aliases including "Sleet" were associated. It actually was interesting seeing the personality evolve and develop as time went on. And now I am coming off as someone really creepy but I'm already neck deep so whatever. On a slightly related note, I tracked Brent down as well, although I don't think he is making an effort to keep that information secret. Hooray social analytics.

I'm going to dump my history and try to forget everything. This is the sort of the thing that ruins ones reputation, and I would prefer to be told such "need to know" information when there is mutual trust between both parties so I will apologize for any discomfort I have caused and for encouraging others to the same. I will concede that I am an enabler, and I am ashamed about that.

In all seriousness, I don't want to offend anyone or get on their bad side. I really am sorry.

Nope. Sorry guys, but my goal is to try and keep this name separate from my name here. The whole reason I created it is so I can still have an anonymous online presence. Heck, with my username being so close to my real name, I never really had the ability to be totally "anonymous" with it anyway.

I won't even tell my closest real life friend. I think that says something.

I mean, you guys can try to find it if you want (Without getting creepy about it. EX: DOING ANYTHING ILLEGAL). You guys who can do that stuff know what I'm talking about. I'm not gloating over my ability to hide my IP address or whatever else you think I could have done. As a matter of fact, I don't know the first thing about doing that kind of stuff. I'm just trying to make it so the average person can't google "JeffCvt" and find my other name.

If you think you found the other me, go ahead and ask me through any "JeffCvt" account. If someone is somehow able to make a connection, then I know that I've done something wrong. But I will ask that you don't get creepy with it. If I ask you to stop, please respect my wishes at that point.

Let this be a notice, to drop the subject completely. Don't snoop around trying to find out RL info on people. In other regards, people who like playing games with letting people figure out your gender don't. This has gone on for a long enough time and member or mod, people are going to start getting warnings for it on both sides.
