Sandy surprisingly didn't knock our power out for long. We're usually in for three or four days if a thunderstorm jostles a branch, but guess they were prepared for once because it was less than 24 hours before they got our lights on.

The next time my friends whine about adulthood, they are getting the third degree from me. I don't want to hear it when I invite them to plenty of fun stuff to do and they're just too lazy to do anything.
"Wanna go trick or treating?" "Wanna have a mini Halloween get-together at my house?" "No? Then quit whining about how life isn't fun anymore and you wish you were a kid again."
I'm not one for complaining when they're fully capable of having a good time, but are too apathetic to get off the couch.

In other news, my run was pretty nice and it's exactly what I needed. I'm slowly living a healthier lifestyle day by day!

@Jeff-After a LOT of swearing last night and about two hours of work this morning, I got my car to run. My physics teacher definitely made the finish line a lot shorter than 5 meters (more like 6 feet), but my car ran approximately 12 feet, I think. So I definitely passed the requirement! ^_^

@Pea-They don't feel too old, they're just too lazy. -_- It's super lame.

@Otaku- It was a car powered by balloons. But yes, yes I did. :P I didn't take a picture of my own, and my car looks like a mesh of these two projects:

It really wasn't, but it's when you have the toughest teacher at my high school who rips your lab report apart word by word, only leaving a bleeding mass of red pen on the page do you jump when she commands you to. No one ever questions this woman, and when she tells you that your car (that you go in blindly to create) had better go 5 meters or receive a zero on 40% of your final grade, you panic when it's 9 PM the night before it's run and it still doesn't run correctly. :P

We didn't get any trick-or-treaters this year. We have a lockable gate and I had friends over who didn't particularly want to spend the whole night giving out candy, although not many people around here celebrate Halloween properly so I doubt we would've had many anyway. However, I work in a restaurant and everyone who works on Halloween has to dress up. I didn't get called in this year, hence the friends.

On another note who's doing No-shave November/Mo-vember? I had an epic beard that I just shaved off so I could grow a new one throughout November.
Feel like you need a friend? I'm happy to talk anytime! :D

Strange, because where I live in Tennessee, they stop it closer to nine-thirty.

And I think they ended early this year because last year, someone got ran over.

I like Halloween but I don't usually do much on it. I like the opportunity to have a fun chill holiday that doesn't involve running about or having to plan anything.

Sadly, i didn't get in the mood to trick and treat this year. However, I'm happy to see myself playing Monster Rancher 4 and suddenly getting alot of halloween-themes monsters.

Also... I think i'm the only person in the world these days that likes the color Yellow. Everyone seems to be either red, blue or green. Sometimes Orange, but nope. no Yellow.

Yellow is indeed the color of sunshine and energy. In general though, it's also a pleasant color to the eyes when it sticks out more than any other color =3

I wrote a research paper on color symbolism. There is no defined definition of each color, and a lot of people just prefer a color because it strikes a chord with them. I personally don't really have a favorite color. I hate pink, I like my technology either black or chrome, I prefer blue, purple or green clothes, orange makes a nice splash of color, and I like my flowers red (or yellow roses). My prom dress was also fiery red. I have dark hair and slightly olive skin, so I pull off bold colors really well.

Pretty much. I never really asked for people to tell me what their colors symbolize to them, oddly enough. Yellow to me symbolizes energy. I tend to always enjoy thinking of that typically because cheetahs as i was growing up were considered yellow and energetic along with the sun, which while we can't necessarily view, it's always been depicted as yellowish red, but mostly yellow.
