only way i have a good conversation is if someone else starts it and they like to talk alot.
so usually stick to older guys that where engineers or have similar hobbys to me.

Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
See, for me at least, it really isn't about the other person liking me or not. I have plenty of good friends already; it wouldn't hurt my feelings if someone I tried to talk to didn't really care to talk to me.Seth wrote:Small talk isn't that hard if you just keep things in perspective. Just go talk to people, worst case scenario they don't like you and you're back where you started. Not sure if that'll work for anyone else but it's how I got over my social awkwardness.
It's just that I rarely have anything to say. Unless someone else starts onto a topic that I'm passionate about for one reason or another, my mind just completely blanks out and I legitimately can't think of anything to say.

Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
I can usually talk to most anyone once we get going but forced small talk has always been a problem for me, I often feel if I don't have anything to say then nothing need be said but when in a really social situation I feel obliged to talk. My other family members tend to be WAY better at it than me so it's a little disheartening.
However, I remember one lunch time my class got out early and most of the friends I used to sit with were in other classes except for one friend of one of my friends. I never talked to her but we both started lunch while we waited for everyone else and we started small talking. Somehow we got onto the topic of the Supernatural TV series which was new and on regularly back then and we found we both loved it. She's now one of my closest friends from school and one of the few I still hang out with regularly.

Feel like you need a friend? I'm happy to talk anytime!

I'm good at small talk when I'm confident and don't feel like the other person is "above" me in any way. Sometimes fear gets the best of me is all.

I can be awful at talking to people.
Also, got back from Amazing Spider-man, it was good, the Stan Lee cameo was as good as ever, and after the credits, well, um, I sort of squeed, yes, out loud in a movie theater. I did have a couple problems with it, Peter seemed like a normal guy, not the nerdy guy he should be, and the last thing he said, oh God, how I hated that. If you've seen it you know what I mean, Peter has more honor than that! Otherwise, I like it more than the old Spider-man movie, plus the POV shots were stunning.

I daresay he's referring to the fact that his 'sona is a long-tailed corgi. XP
Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
He doesn't have the right mindset to be a corgi! That's why it wasn't satisfying.

I don't like being tiny, either. I'll keep my fox size~.
Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
Not that small! I'd be around the same size I am right now. You don't have to be small just because the breed is small irl

I'm not sure where I was going with that. I know you just don't have it. You have dat fox mindset. DUH.Tha Housefox wrote:And what's the right mindset? XPDaggy wrote:He doesn't have the right mindset to be a corgi! That's why it wasn't satisfying.

Bahaha. The best part of this post is the fact that I've seen most of these videos already...Oh how I love my corgis. I really, really want one. Or any dog in general. But a corgi would be the preferred dog of choice. The Grey Wolverine wrote:OH MY GOD I LOVE CORGIS!

Re: Chat Thread 37: Diss Wants to Be Involved
Just got done editing and uploading another audition on the Voice Actor proboard forum. :B
On the topic of corgis, I'd really love to get one. The plan at this point is to get one cat and one dog; I'm mostly a "cat person", so the breed of cat isn't particularly important, but I'm dead-set on getting a Pembroke Welsh corgi. They're just too dang cute in every conceivable way to not get one. :3

Cute dogs are amazing. I have two Yorkies and I want a Pommy when I get my own house. <3
Also I'm not really a Corgi. I just did that because IJustWantLove asked me to and I luffs him.

If I ever got a dog, it would be a full sized dog. I don't have anything against little dogs, but I would like something that I can't accidentally sit on.

Cats are cute too folks. They are just little less snuggly than dogs.

No they aren't. (The snuggly part) You just need to get the right cat. I have one that is actually snuggly to the point of it being annoying.texascat018 wrote:Cats are cute too folks. They are just little less snuggly than dogs.
