Is that the King Leonidas versus Master Chief one? Cause I've seen it, and it was pretty good. Wasn't as good as any of the previous ones, but still good none-the-less.

I just saw the wright bros versus the mario bros! It was great! I just wish that some of these rap battles didn't use so much profanity... :/ It would make them even more enjoyable.

That is a favorite to play on Rock Band at the Anime Club meetings. unfortunately, It's a different arrangement of it. The spoken word Chuvk Norris part is actual singing.

which sucks because I'm good at over-the-top spoken word.

Though it can be done without profanity it's no coincidence that most Rap uses it.
Spoken profanity, as silly as it may seem, really adds an extra oomph to what you're saying.

there are more sophisticated and less vulgar ways to add this so-called "oomph" to something. even if it is just adding a fitting sound effect or interruption in the right situation to make it seem like censorship without ever actually saying the word.

There is no oomph how 99% of rappers use profanity.

Look up Real African-American Gentleman Roll Call by Lil Jon. Tell me if there's any oomph, or if that's just Lil Jon squeezing about 6.4 slave owners worth of racism into five minutes.

I believe Lil John counts as crunk rap, which is a sub-genre with very little oomph. just listen to Generic crunk rap by MC Lars.

To be fair alot of artists fail to write good lyrics without profanity.
It's not the use of the profanity but the quality of the artist.

Well to me it does, other than Atmosphere most of the rap I listen to is at least occasionally profane.

occasional profanity is not the same as gratuitous profanity. it is not nearly as bad and from my experience, sadly, not nearly as common.
