Chat Thread Rules
1. Follow the Forum Rules
2. The Chat Thread thread can cover any topic allowed on this forum, but do not allow things with existing threads to take over the thread. This includes role playing.
3. The Chat Thread isn't the IRC; it's still in the forum format. Don't make posts that consist entirely of greetings, goodbyes, or acknowledgement of how people aren't posting at the moment.

I get way too much amusement out of Google variants. There was a time I'd almost exclusively use Elgoog.

Okay, just figured out what it was and freaked for a moment when the sky was falling. Anyway, fun, entertaining, but I think I'll just use Google, the normal kind.

Well I must say that at least the Thread Name seems more open, so I might come post a bit now and again. I wonder why I dun use the Chat Thread much though. Guess I just hardly relate to any topic.
Anywho, the topic I think is still Google so I guess I will just state that even though I love Google, I prefer Firefox over Chrome.

I dunno, I just choose Firefox because it has an Animal in the name. That and it does not have a large task bar at the top. Never really tried any others except IE.

Same here, don't see the big fuss so long as it ain't Internet Explorer. It had a few holes in its scripts.

They should do a parody of either yahoo or Bing and then have all the results be completely inaccurate.

except not because that would not become them.

To me chrome has everything I love about google, which is mostly that it's pleasant to look at and simple.

People are always looking for a reason to be superior to everyone else. So they whine about web browsers.

Not to say everyone with an opinion is like that. Just that people like that exist and that's why it's treated as a big deal.

Sorry, Kalloon.....it, uh, just didn't work for me, ya'know.

I could see that, Sleet. It may have just been my IE that had a hole due to some download issue at the factory or something. Was a shared computer so never really ran well.

I still honestly don't care which one is superior, just as long as the thing gets the job done. It's the same for everything

The point of doing that would be to make fun of other search engines. As in it would be a joke. As in the purpose would be to entertain, not find out if elephants can jump or when Jack Holmes was born.
