Not even summer, I'm in the middle of my school term, but since I only have one subject and it doesn't even have a proper weekly schedule I'm home almost all the time with nothing to do since it keeps on raining on and off here. XD
What do you mean "watch my words"? It's my tongue that I sharpened.

Google Chrome spell check recognizes whatshername as a word, as well as username, but not usernames.
that ain't right. (And apparently, ain't is accepted as well.)

Firefox recognizes/doesn't recognize some weird stuff too.
Yeah, that happens to me too. Too much free time and I just get bored.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:so, I've learned that when I don't have band camp to switch things up, summer starts to get boring near the end for me. anyone else run into a similar problem?

It happens to everyone, even me when I was back in high school, despite the fact that the school holiday period was only 1 1/2 months long.
How long is the summer holidays there anyway? I know it's a long period, but I don't exactly know how long.

Nope, normally yes, but I have too much work to do. I artificially simulate the experience you described by not doing any of it.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:so, I've learned that when I don't have band camp to switch things up, summer starts to get boring near the end for me. anyone else run into a similar problem?
It used to not accept "dialogue" as a legitimate spelling, luckily they seem to have fixed that.Psykeout wrote:Google Chrome spell check recognizes whatshername as a word, as well as username, but not usernames.

Still doesn't quite grasp some contractions, though. Like "could've", which is only going to encourage people to assume the correct spelling is "could of".
2 and a halfish to three seems to be the norm for K-12 schools in the US, if you're on a schedule that has a summer break as such.Tha Housefox wrote:Mine is usually 2.5 months. It probably varies by school district/ country.
Mine is essentially mid-June to late August, so two and a half sounds about right.

why can"t you speak English in a Spanish class? I know they want you to learn the language but that's just foolish. Im still on summer break so go me, but yah Im still fine with summer because I have a full time job 7 days a week so I make moneys . When I get back to school Ill have metal fabrications in the morning for 2-3 hours a day, depending on how the schedule goes, followed by my other classes. If things work out like I want them to, Ill have some cool stuff built, so Ill be sure to get some pictures.

That's great, Grey! I never got the chance to work part-time, since I pretty much spent my life in boarding schools and directly to college after that.
I just noticed that half of the stray cats living around here are either ginger, white or a mixture of both. And that there's a LOT of cats here.

Some how, we always manage to get enough snow days that we push into june, even though we should get out ~may 21.
After all this time, it turns out we DO have a scanner.
I need to leave my room more.

It's actually very effective, if done right. Think about it; if you moved to Mexico City for a year, you'd pick up some Spanish even without a formal education. It's the same principle. The Grey Wolverine wrote:why can"t you speak English in a Spanish class? I know they want you to learn the language but that's just foolish.
Our teachers always say our classes will be like that, but then they end up giving up a couple weeks in.
You can do that!?Psykeout wrote:I need to leave my room more.

Re: Chat Thread XXX: It's Not What You Think
Just got back from Camden Yards. We lost, but I did get to see some guy's first major league home run, so that was nice.
Also the Tigers' pitcher stopped the game dead in its tracks in the middle of the ninth inning- one pitch into an at bat- to clean his shoes and have them tied for him. It was hilarious. That was actually more entertaining than anything else about the game, since I'm not much of a baseball fan anyway.

I don't think I'd be able to make it in any mathematical or scientific field. I find science marginally more interesting, but not enough to spend much time thinking about it.Alex M. wrote:Awesome! At my grandma's house my nerdy autistic cousin was watching baseball. I found that kind of interesting.

I'm not really into sports, unless Wipeout is a sport, in which case, I love sports.
And as far as majors go I'm a little too far away to make that decision, but I will say that I'm interested in Psychology.

Sports leagues that you're only allowed to join if your name starts with E. A bunch of them popped up in the late '90s and have been running since. They have very strict regulations; E-surnames only, nicknames don't count. (Accented E names are submitted to a committee for review.) The policy is somewhat controversial, fans say it enriches and adds a dynamic element to the game, while detractors accuse it of arbitrary restrictions and causing confusing lineups.sonic id furreh!!! wrote:what's that o.o?Tiggy wrote:I Watch e-sports. >:3
