Y is the most epicest letter there is, everybody just considers Z to be better but Z is way too mainstream, Y is all obscure and unheard of.

It's not Y, it's "I Grec". And it's not Z, it's "Zed."

I'm sorry, I'm a bit rusty with language. Are those supposed to be the names of the letters in Latin?

So... Yes it would appear to be from a language that is at least a branch of Latin, in Spanish they would be called "I griega" and "zeta"

I never understood that pronunciation of Y. Every other letter sounds at least vaguely like it does in English!

True. Y and Z came directly from Greek, not Latin like the other letters.

Sorry, sorry. But yeah, I understand why. In English "Y" is pronounced as "Why" and in Spanish as "I griega" and "I" is "I latina"

I always just learned "I" rather than "I Latina." How commonplace is each name?

"I Griega" was commonly used in almost all the Spanish-speaking countries until the RAE defined its name as "Ye". "I latina" is less common, was used to help children to distinguish "I" and "Y".

One of my cats is a troll cat =( I went and complained to my cats about how I was hungry and had no food, so one of them goes and starts eating her food. Hitting me where it hurts.

My Spanish teacher taught it was "I griega."

Playing Gears of War and listening to Dream Theater while doing it is awesome. *giggles*

Yeah, she should go hungry until you eat! No manners! *giggles*

One word tends to not contribute well to discussion. Emoticons are even worse. Please try to say more.

But anyway, I have some writing and then drawing to do! Yeah!
