Am I the only one who doesn't like visiting family for the holidays? My family is terrible.

Re: Chat thread
My family is pretty cool. It's kind of annoying when politics comes up or one individual is brought to the center of attention too much (against her will), but aside from that I mostly like being with my family.
I also get to see my friends a lot around that time since we get school off.
I also heard rumors it was once considered a religious holiday...
And the eggnog! The eggnoooooog. It doesn't even cost that much more than milk, so it pretty much replaces milk in my diet about half the time.JOFOXX wrote:Hehehe. Nah, I don't ask for much of anything during the holidays. I just like visiting with family. :3
And the food. Oh sweet lord the foooood

I love eggnog! I'm so happy when winter rolls around so I can finally buy it!
I once made an eggnog pie which required home-made eggnog...with alcohol in it. My drinking days have been over for a while so I couldn't eat it, it was too strong. Other people liked it though.
Next time I make the pie I'm not putting any alcohol in it.

Let's kill them, Senator. Together.
One more Christmas without alcoholic eggnog, and then I figure out what the fuss is about after all these years.Senator_Sunburst wrote:I love eggnog! I'm so happy when winter rolls around so I can finally buy it!

You know how rubbing alcohol smells? That's how alcohol tastes, generally. So just imagine that kind of taste in your eggnog, and there ya go!Sleet wrote:One more Christmas without alcoholic eggnog, and then I figure out what the fuss is about after all these years.
I don't like it. It's okay, I guess....

Also, what's with everybody not wanting to drink ever? Why not?
Re: Chat thread
because alcohol only causes you problems
one time i was laying in my bed trying to fall asleep, when my brother, who was drunk at the time, walked into my room, fell on top of me, and puked!
i am not taking any chances!

Re: Chat thread
I never drank alcohol, so I don't have a reason to drink it in the first place. Besides of the obvious negative effect, video game is already quite expensive as a hobby. I would like to cut every unnecessary consumption that is not my hobby. I don't smoke either.

I'll drink in under 4 months, but I don't plan on ever getting drunk. It just doesn't seem worth it.

Sooo many teetotalers. I no longer feel any kinship with this forum.
Of course one won't see the point of getting drunk if you've never actually done it! Likewise, one doesn't know if it's "worth it" if one hasn't tried it before.

Re: Chat thread
Would you like to jump out of an airplane sans parachute at 10,000 feet? Experiencing something is not always necessary to the process. It shouldn't bother you if someone else doesn't want to imbibe alcohol, as it doesn't bother me if someone else chooses to, assuming they do so in a responsible manner.

Sorry guys, it's just really bugging me. It's as if you've all collectively come to me and said you don't like a band despite not ever having listened to it and never planning to listen to it.
I don't wish to talk about this anymore.

No bands chemically alter your mind. It's nothing personal. We just want to avoid that kind of stuff.
