Don't that be the truth. I try to stay away from furry drama (except in my comic lol) but most of the furries I know are easy going people, I met my best friend through it because we shared that commonairity on a Star Fox forum lol

In spite of everything, some of the coolest people can be found in the furry fandom. I've met a ton of great friends among the furry ranks on this forum!

That is awesome, I hope I can do the same. The other thing is I tend to try to be a counselor to the community, giving someone a person they can relate to in a sense. So far, so good

I have also made furry friends despite not being one. so the furries here are nice enough to not scare away humans.

and in return, I have adopted the persona of a shape-shifter so I can fit in while still being human.

and to get back on topic, no I'm not a furry.

To be perfectly honest, the ONLY friends I have are here. Other than one on a game I play, those here are the only people I ever speak to other than family. Not sure of that is good or bad.

It makes you no different from me, honestly. I have friends elsewhere online but pretty much only online, and only a few I talk to regularly.

I am friends with just about anyone. I am even friends with someone who is a furry hater. Just got to know where to look I guess :p

I guess the answer is that I don't directly say that I'm a member of the fandom, but I certainly don't say no when I'm called a furry. I have a 'sona and hang out with furries, so I guess I'm more furry than not-furry?

speaking of people being okay with being seen as a furry, I just saw a dude walking around campus with animal ears on.

he was likely a furry, but possibly not.

That is true, a lot of furries are into Anime, but not every one. I wish I could go outside and see someone doing that, I'm afraid to wear my tail in public

How big is your tail? If it's small and is a pretty standard animal, it's not really that big a deal as long as you're not going anywhere formal.

It is a little over half the length of my leg, and about just as wide. I also have a Tails hat, that I plan on fabric painting to match my fursona xP

hehe, I am kind of shy, besides, the few things I have (Paws, Tail, and the Tails hat for the ears) totally do not match my fursona. But I shall see what I can do :3

Oops, I kinda said that in a misleading way, and I hope I never gave the wrong picture. I have nothing in the way of clothing to resemble a Squirrel. ^^;
And nice, judging by the length of the mussel.....it is a Fox, right? :3

-points to my user name- It is supposed to be a wolf. my problem is my foxes and wolves look the same. Only way to tell a different is the cheeks and tails. For wolves, i draw the fur around the cheeks more spike like, and for foxes, they tend to be more round with a little fluff

I have a friend in my class who's a furry and he wears a tail in public all the time. It's odd though because it's a fox tail; but his fursona is an otter. Just today we had a parade for the county fair, he was just being chill and furry like and just walking along with his YMCA crew. It was cool.

It's understandable; not all species are easily accessible. I wear a red fox tail even though I'm an Arctic fox.

I have access to a trench coat, steel toed boots, and a fedora hat. With little money I could have a fursuite. Never realized that before now. Ill have to make a note.

I worded that weirdly, what I meant was I use the duster, fedora, and steel toed boots with a partial fursuite, to make one, because I am cheep.
