While we're talking about childhood movies (that probably introduced all to an early concept of "furry"), I've never seen The Fox and the Hound, Robin Hood, Cinderella, Snow White, The Sword in the Stone, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, the Aristocats, The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Lady and the Tramp, Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, or Bambi.
And the movies I /have/ seen now, it's only because I've seen them on Disney Channel and have gone, "Hey, that's the movie everyone has always been talking about. Maybe I should watch it." (i.e. Mulan, Peter Pan, Aladdin.)

Really the only Disney movies that I ever watched as a kid were Tarzan and Toy Story. :I

Oh, and as a side note, I've been thinking of adopting a fursona, just for the lolz and whatnot. :P

See, now, I have difficulty understanding why the need for fursonas--at least a single fursona. Doesn't that stifle the imagination by limiting oneself to one or a few forms? Isn't it better to have multiple characters?

See, there's my exact theory. :P I was actually going to consider my "basic" fursona to be a Ditto, so I could just change forms whenever I wanted. :P

.... Or maybe a human that has morphing superpowers?
OH GOSH I COULD WRITE A FURSONA STORY ON HOW SHE GOT HER POWERS. <3
I actually kinda like that idea. Oh my randomness.
I know that's really not considered a "fursona", but I am a non-furry, after all. :P

How about a giant amoeba that can take on any shape it wants (or even combine them) but HAS no shape of its own at ALL?

Your fursona is how you view yourself as an animal. However that does not mean you have to RP as one or anything. Characters are still characters, but I tend to think of Fursonas as yourself, without any change. Characters is how you wish you could act.

Well, that's part of the reason I don't have one. I don't know myself well enough to narrow it down to just one animal. Anyway, my characters are all part me, in a way, but also part not me.

And that's perfectly fair. Not every furry needs a fursona. We're just saying that just 'cause we have one doesn't mean we're "locked" into one particular species for all purposes.

Only at the level that 90's Disney movies dealing with humans are all princess movies.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a princess movie?

Sorry for the off-topic but I had to comment.

Why are we talking about these on a furry thread anyway? :?

To bring everything back to topic, I'll ask a random question, that is somehow related to furry stuff, poorly:
Are tennis balls furry?

Lots of people have multiple characters. Just because you have a fursona, that doesn't mean you're not allowed to keep creating characters. :P I have like, 12 other furry OC's. I like to think of your fursona as your mascot. It would be weird if (your favorite sports team) had a group of several mascots and sent a different one out each game.

I understand that you can have many characters. I have a good amount of them meself.
Off the top of my head I can think of:
Grey (my fursona. I also have things from him in some of my other characters)
The Saint
Evan
Eli
Desmond
Snow (more or less a female version of Grey)
The Professor
Conor
Rosa
Parker
Ace
Troy
The Shadow
Colonel
The Duke
The Duchess
Thrasher

The problem with multiple fursonas is that they are not Canadian Geese, the king of animals.

Fun Fact: Chuck Norris once tried to catch a Canadian Goose. 5 missing fingers later, he succeeded.

That's true, and why I have a lot of furry friends, but furries tend to also be drama-mongers, among other things. You run into some undesirable folks in furry communities.
