Well, I suppose if you want to be completely accurate, I'm not a wallaby. I just play one on TV. Or the internet. Something like that.

So, I had a cool idea. Someone makes like a 7x7 grid, with one axis labeled Animal <--> Human and the other labeled Cartoony <--> Realistic, and the same character is drawn in all 49 spaces, at different levels of anthropomorphism and realism.

Dohoho I guess it would.

However, I feel like an even bigger idiot saying I have a "birdsona" than I do saying I have a "fursona".
Furry fandom also needs better terms. (Seriously? Who made up the word "fursona"?)

"Fursona" kind of is accepted just for legacy reasons. A character doesn't need fur to be a fursona.

I've always wondered why there are so many more reptiles than birds. I think bird furries are pretty awesome. Just more difficult to draw, I guess!

Excellent idea. Here's a blank template for anyone who wants to try - I'll do one eventually (Probably after I actually learn to draw that sort of thing.)

It's kind of weird considering it's just what represents you, but it's not like there's a rule or anything.

Think of this, what if each is to represent that person under diffident circumstances. With me I know under different circumstances I act like different people.

I act the same around everyone. If I have to pretend to be someone different around certain people, then I'm possibly doing it wrong.

I agree with Sleet on this one, you can have a ton of characters, but a fursona is supposed to be an avatar type thing, know what I'm saying?

Let me explain, if things are all good I'm just laid back, but when I get angry I am consumed with rage. I have thrown a rod through a door in anger at my brother, tried killing a man with a rake, and punching a truck hard enough to dent the hood.

Um yeah, still doesn't mean that you act like someone different. Your anger is a part of your personality, I should know, I usually consider myslef to be a fairly friendly guy, but that didn't stop me from beating up that one guy who messed up my lunch, or the one who did a rude gesture toward my lady-friend, or that one that thought dumping nachos on my lap is funny.

Not taking bull from people does not mean you're acting like someone different.

Oh, now that makes stuff work. I'd still need two though, roughly the same, but different. I do react differently to the same situation time to time, not even based on how I'm feeling, but just... Different.

I have one persona, a fursona... and probably a (how should I say it?) biosona.
The name Tattorack is the avatar name of my character Alexander, witch is my persona.
So I, like, have an avatar for my avatar with three different states...

Ok, my name is Sassan, I've created a character I used to play when I was small
called Alexander: http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/ ... 4c42vm.jpg
I still have him because he is a too significant part of my story to remove, and so I be him on forums, but with his avatar name:
Tattorack.
I've also given him a Bionicle state for BZPower, and now a furry state for Housepets!

As some of you may be able to tell from my avatar, I am a furry. I, unfortunately don't have a fursona, as I lack the artistic talent to create one. That, and I can't decide on species.
