Then you're not looking in the right places. They have their own convention. (Indy Fur Con)
0-0 thay do i live really close to downtown and i never see any
If you never see any than chances are your neighborhood hasnt seen any either. You are starting with a clean slate - so you get to set the standard by which furries are judged - just stick to the good stuff, stay out of the bad stuff and without fear or shame introduce your neighborhood to the fun of fuzzy tails.

Nobody lives in Alberta. They just visit for the Stampede and then abandon the whole province once it's over.

I would consider myself human but then again furry things are some what woven into our culture, for example, cartoons, native american animal totems, horoscopes, and the chinese zodiac. So in other words I say just be you whether you consider yourself furry or not. :D

Just because anthromorphic animals have seen heavy use in culture, doesn't mean that it's 'furry'

I used to live right near Calgary, 10 minutes north up in Airdrie. I have however, since moved in the last year, so my location once again remains a mystery 8-)

Pardon backtracing a bit, but the wife and I used to joke sometimes when we'd hear 'hoosier', that there needed to be a local company doing paternity testing, called... Hoosier-Daddy. XD

Impossible consider myself a furry. What I like and admire of this world it's only the artistic aspect of it, both for draws and fursuits. Hope to realize something myself about drawing...
Make all this a style of life it's exaggerated, it has to stay a spare time hobby, IMO.

Are you happy with yourselves now, you hideous critters? Every time I think of the word "anthropomorphic", I think about furries, not trees, or rocks, or the sun, or the moon, or cluttery, or vehicles, or anything else you could add human characteristics to. Nope, it always ends up with furries coming to mind. You guys ruined my life. *sob*

Being a fan of furry things doesn't mean that they have to encompass part of your life-style.

Absolutely, as must be. Every passion on something have to be cared to don't let it encompass part of your life-style. Otherwise it turns into an obsession.
Speaking of... Casually I watched this much time ago, when I didn't know anything about furries, it was curious to follow (that's a preview of 1 minute, the entire episode it's of about 15 minutes, haven't succeeded to find it). I don't like such kind of TV shows, I don't give trust to them, they look always manipulated; also, that episode would let believe that the furry fandom phenomenon is something negative, when really it's not so (and the furry fandom it's not only about fursuits)! They have even called it something "fetish"...
