Once again, I wouldn't have had nearly as much of a problem if Rick never felt the need to bring attention to it.

Love how Keen and Breel are sort of looking at the the viewer, cheesy TV send up style.

Well, that's one way to move the plot along! Though, now all I can think of is what type of car Marion would drive (maybe one of those Smart Cars?)...

I feel like Rick is torturing us because he likes to see us squirm and knows which characters we are more interested in at the moment. Think of it as his way to enjoy the fruits of his labor as well as amusement to see more rabid fans get bent out of shape.

While I agree, there are plenty of stories out there that have gotten a riffing treatment. If you can find some stories by Stephen Ratliff that got the treatment, it's well worth it.

I really don't know much about MST3K and got the reference there only by chance.
