Now Jake Elmer’s plot continues;
King’s been conned into the car.
But, unable to reach pedals,
they’ve not yet travelled very far.
I don’t think it’ll work, you guys,
unless you first adjust the seat.
If you can’t get to the main wheel,
I think the car has got you beat.
It’d be easier to walk,
it’d certainly be less fuss.
If you ask King really nicely
he might even pay for the bus.

Car may not be cranked but King sure is. But, to be fair, I haven't driven a stick since I left the army.

I drive a stick shift, myself, and I still have trouble with it.
Even if King could drive stick, no amount of seat adjustments is going help him reach those pedals

Great comic! I never could drive a stick shift, I had enough trouble learning as automatic. The Miltons could, perhaps , design a car for pets, they do make cars for people who are paralyzed and can’t use their legs, so if they could figure out a way to design the seats to allow pets to see out the windshield, it could work.

Disnee/Pixcar have probably already secured the copyrights to that sort of thing.trekkie wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 7:33 am Great comic! Driving King crazy turned out to be a pretty short trip...

That's when you have the Milton's high-powered attorneys, (Not Mr. London) negotiate for the rights to use the technology.Welsh Halfwit wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 7:48 amDisnee/Pixcar have probably already secured the copyrights to that sort of thing.trekkie wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 7:33 am Great comic! ... and the newest human character for the strip, am insurance salesman - unless Cory's in training for that role.
Re: 2020/08/31 - Driving King Crazy
Nice, there's a continuation of the previous strip. Ehm, we well predicted another problem of you, King, which is clearly visible... Your problem is not the manual transmission of their car instead of an automatic one, but your too short legs and arms! Better use public transport, Peanut and Grape.
Nice comic again, Jake.

I really was wondering what was the point of someone buying a Saturn that was a stick shift honestly. When you think Saturn, you tend to think cheap value car so why would somebody want the option of a manual transmission? I am basing my theory that the car is a Saturn based on a picture of the car we have seen in the comic when the Sandwiches were going somewhere and it looked like a 1996–1999 Saturn SL sedan. I am by no means saying that it is definitely a Saturn. This is just my assumption.

I love this one. The obvious punchline and the subversion are great as is the humor of why Peanut and Grape would recruit King to drive them anywhere.
Earl is a mechanic and it makes sense he'd buy a stick. He's a probaly a car enthusiast.

I have seen a few manual cars in person and I know my father can drive them but if I tried I would probably burn it out and fail at shifting gears. LOL

Another guest strip from Jake E.,
Grape, calm down, can't you see,
We're nowhere close to there yet,
King hasn't learned to drive as a Housepet.
Being short really stinks,
At least, that's what King thinks,
To reach the pedals, his legs are too tiny,
And Grape, with her grumbling, sounds really whiny.

You're a wonderful person! You can do this! Yes, you, person reading this!
