2020/08/03 – The Doors

[2020/08/03 – The Doors]
Title Text: "wait, don't they have thumbs anyway?" "oh yeah, that is a thing that happens in this universe"

Aww, don’t be such a helicopter mom! You have to let your kids make their own decisions, make their own mistakes, and get eaten by their own dinosaurs every once in a while.
Faith doesn't change circumstances. Faith changes me.

Ace has gotten back to normal.
and Rook now begins to freak out,
as Olive gets back in to safety,
leaving parenting skills in doubt.
Her tactic of running ahead
has, it seems, one tiny wee flaw;
It puts Draig and Ace in danger
if a Wolf can open a door.
Excuse the real names in the poem,
I forget the character’s they play
and, unlike the great strip here,
I never liked the park anyway.

(Although I did appreciate the point he was trying to make that, just because science could do something, doesn't mean it should.)

I still found that rather impressive on the raptor's part until my family's Great Dane learned to do it too.

No seriously. We have to lock the front door now otherwise she'll just reach up, open it, and let herself into the house.

Well, animals can be smarter then we give them credit for.

One of my cockatiels has figured out that the two large glass jars near her cage is where her food is stored and if the kids off, she will climb in to feast. It's a tight fit, but she gets in and out fine.

Took me a second viewing of the comic to realize that Ace wasn't electro-Fluffy anymore. Hope we see that look again from time to time.

Hey, use some manners! I know you're vicious raptor pack predators and all, but didn't yer mother never teach you to knock before entering!? Some reptiles just got no class.

Anybody that ends up leaving children alone in this situation which is pretty much life or death needs to be charge with child endangerment because if this was real life no way would they be able to get through this. =3

This situation is getting worse, with the kids left alone for unknown reasons... :? Yeah, for them, two raptors are less dangerous than three... Ah, now you blame the door handles, not all the very dangerous thing you all built up. :P They're really more easier to open with claws, actually. ;)

Making me nostalgic also since I loved 2008 even though I thought it wasn't really a memorable year otherwise but I liked the songs that came out.

Also, both my grandparents were still alive.

Doorknobs as downfall,
That makes their skin crawl,
Why'd you leave the kids alone
With the dinos still free to roam?

The raptors aren't dumb-dumbs,
You know, they have thumbs,
And the dinos just play their part,
And by the way, they're really smart.
You're a wonderful person! You can do this! Yes, you, person reading this!
