Now we know the next arc, King and Marion in battle for the domination of the local squirrel population.

So...King went nuts?

Clearly King was next in line in the dynastly of squirrel-emperors.

A Regent fallen from his tree
is what now faces young Bailey.
A fact that she may have to face
is that King’s will has failed this race.
Sasha’s mania has him beat
and forced him out, into retreat.
All the way into the forest;
to a place to get some new rest.
Where she isn’t is where he is,
our King that’s caught in a tizz,
His Queen will have the truth right now.
They’ll work it through. The question’s how?

So if King is King of the Squirrels, does that make Marion one of his subjects?

I'm glad Bailey was able to find him. Hopefully she'll be able to sort this out.

This is definitely Sasha's doghouse that King built for her. I have a feeling our presence here will guide the story to its conclusion.

I can see why King fled to the doghouse. He made as a sanctuary for Sasha, so he probably thought of it right away, as a sanctuary from Sasha. I do wonder why he didn't just go to Fox's house, but maybe he just needs or wants to be alone.

Looks like this is an occasion that King REALLY does want to be out in the doghouse right now. LITERALLY.

My money was on King running into other characters he'd try to rope into helping him with his predicament, but running & hiding from Sasha's Sasha-ness is excellent too. Feels like we're a few strips away from the conclusion of this arc, and I'm curious as to what it's going to end on.

I for one would like to know what squirrel powers would entail. Super tree climbing skills? Inhuman sense of smell, but only for nuts? Either way, being a squirrel superhero has a mandate of a large bushy tail, as set by precedent. Where can I sign up?

Poor King. Hopefully when they get all together they can sort this little mix of emotions out, King's sanity over canine relationship habits provided.

Eh, I'm not sure he said anything absurdist in that strip. "Crying uncle" means you want someone to stop doing something to you. And asking if a squirrel that is biting you has had their shots is only absurd because I doubt wild squirrels get vaccinations in the HPU... and something being absurd is not the same thing as being absurdist.

Basically, what Thomas is saying makes too much sense to count, even if he is wrong.
