The funny thing is that Japan actually has vending machines like this.

Well worth the wait!

I actually like the idea of a french fry vending machine.

Nice job biddyfox! I would love a fry vending machine!

Peanut’s on the prowl
scaring Grape from her socks
asking questions he thought
with help from BiddyFox!
The couch was all comfy
but his odd pondering
has really disturbed her
and got her wondering.
Fried fries are just complex
far beyond how you heat
and, when salted and spiced,
you’d really want to eat?

Nice art style. I'm sure french fry machines will be a thing in a few years.
Re: 2019/08/21 - Fry Job
Surprised that those actually exist. Would love to try one.

Re: 2019/08/21 - Fry Job
There is Peanut thinking of stuff that he doesn't know existed and wondering what would they be like since he didn't see them and then Grape thinking of the practical side of his ideas and asking how it would even work. XD
Re: 2019/08/21 - Fry Job
Peanut shouts to wake up Grape: classic. That's a cool idea, Peanut, but as seems, such vending machines already exist in the world (and I didn't know of that, though). Well, I guess the French fries are put in it already fried, what the machine does is only heat them at the moment, when the client requests them. Serve them in little cups is much better, Grape.
Cute simple comic. Nice work, biddyfox.

I'm sure in the HP universe, Catnip machines went away along with cigarette machines. If not, Max would already be a daily customer.NHWestoN wrote:...or French-friend Cheetos.GameCobra wrote:Don't tell Maxwell that plan, Peanut.

Oh, Peanut. Peanut, Peanut, Peanut...those already exist. They take about a minute to fry in the machine and are served in a cup. They have them in China and a few other countries outside of the US.

Is it wrong to say that I identified the author before I read the signature?
And is it wrong to say "haha, classic Peanut!" when reading a fancomic?

They do! The trick is that you can chill or freeze partially cooked fries and then fry them. Most restaurants will par-cook fries and then finish them to order so it's not that crazy.max7345 wrote:Oh, Peanut. Peanut, Peanut, Peanut...those already exist. I really need someone to go take Peanut to see one of these then take a picture of his reaction. XD

Re: 2019/08/21 - Fry Job
Yeah, these have existed for at least a couple of decades!
Re: 2019/08/21 - Fry Job
Not really surprised, I mean, we already have vending machines that make a pizza for you on the spot in several countries now including the US that take less than 3 minutes, and there have been several ones that fresh-pop popcorn for you (there was even a popcorn arcade "game" with Sonic), a french fry vending machine is actually pretty realistic. Usually the wait time is pretty short, and having to wait at all is offset by the novelty of it.Raku wrote:The funny thing is that Japan actually has vending machines like this.

Time is cyclical. Peanut's so far behind the curve that he's actually the genius in front of it.Silly Zealot wrote:Scruff wrote:Yeah, these have existed for at least a couple of decades! It seems Peanut's idea was so good, even the people of the past decided to copy it from him!TendoTwo wrote:Not really surprised, I mean, we already have vending machines that make a pizza for you on the spot in several countries now including the US that take less than 3 minutes, and there have been several ones that fresh-pop popcorn for you (there was even a popcorn arcade "game" with Sonic).Raku wrote:The funny thing is that Japan actually has vending machines like this.

I really love Biddyfox's art style. It's so cute! The writing and panel composition is great as well, especially the beat on the third panel.
With the right community, getting into a webcomic at the beginning of a brand new arc can feel just as enjoyable and rewarding as being there from the beginning.

Almost certainly. It would be hard for a vending machine to enforce a ban on selling to pets.dr_eirik wrote:I'm sure in the HP universe, Catnip machines went away along with cigarette machines. Not at all. If anything there would be a problem if you didn't say "haha, classic Peanut!" when reading a fan comic (unless Peanut isn't featured, of course).Silly Zealot wrote:...And is it wrong to say "haha, classic Peanut!" when reading a fancomic?
