Looks like they're both having to learn.

I know I said I wanted an arc focusing on Grape and Peanut, and I still do, but I'll always be happy to see these two.

Good old one-shots. It’s been awhile.

I’ll admit I’ve been curious about what Keenes house is like. I kinda wish we could see more so I know what I’m talking about in my Fan Fiction.

Anyway, it’s good to see those three again. Mungo is looking tight.
Aww, Keene still adjusting. “Firethingy” that’s pretty good.

So we have one person with no concept of modern tech, and one who should know, but hasn't been paying attention.

Are gas fireplaces not vented well enough to handle a wood fire?

I like the cold weather K9 uniform, I first thought it was another new design, but I think he has the vest on under that.

Hang on, why is Mungo there in the first place? Why wasn’t the fire department dispatched? They sent a K-9 unit to put out a fire? They sent Mungo? More importantly, how many fires has Mungo started? :o

What's Mungo wearing on his face; is it some sort of safety glasses that stay on with magic (not like when pets wear glasses they actually go over their ears, but still)?

(fun fact: the only other strip Mungo and Breel have been in together before this was for Valentines cards)
Mungo says "again" so I'm going to assume Breel caught up Mungo on an earlier mishap that required police attention he died sometime between 1863 and 1869 and is recently reincarnated, because Mungo seems to be going along with it quite well.

Zealot! <Noogies Zealot>

There are things about life
that some just don’t know,
like who won the game
and what’s on the go?
They have no reference
to run their lives by,
they’ll hurt themselves,
living on the fly.
They need some help,
even if one won’t ask,
but, to save their lives,
who’s up to the task?

Police regularly respond to fires for crowd control and other reasons. Once the cause of the fire was found they likely sent the dog in to tell them because the residents are animals...or maybe Mungo is just super helpful and works as a volunteer firefighter on the side.

I think he’s referring to the temple crashers. Even though we never saw them have direct contact Mungo should have been aware of Breels presence or at least seen him from afar. But honestly, I also think this is not the first time the police have been called to Keene’s place. ;)

Notice Keene’s not wearing his collar. That’s interesting. I guess being home he felt it was unnecessary.

On a side note, can you imagine how much of a disaster area their kitchen must be? Neither have had any prior experience cooking with modern appliances and methods, as Breel predates them entirely, and Keene's probably never once seen the actual process that goes into the preparation of his food. Assuming the kitchen isn't outright destroyed, it's almost certainly a huge mess from all the culinary experimentation they've had to be doing.

The only time Breel and Mungo were both in the temple was after he was teleported in but before he was Forgotten, during which Mungo was still fighting the other team so he could've seen Breel, but not talked to him. He does know the angle huskies were from heaven (as opposed to regular huskies with a paper bags for the "angle class") and Breel had the same halo, so Mungo could deduce that Breel was dead before and now that he is sans halo he's alive again. It's possible Mungo figured everything out on his own, but there are some leaps where the correct answer isn't the only plausible one.

Maybe he was planing to settle down in front of a gentle fire with a nice neck massage. Those two are private citizens (well, not legally) and can do as they please in their own home (you guys may commence writing saucy fan fiction about them).

Eheheh, Keene, you still have to learn a lot by yourself before do everything on your own. :P It's fine learn from the own errors, but better without risk to burn the entire house down. :? Sometimes watch someone do something isn't a proper way to learn to do the same thing by themselves. ;) You'll learn too about modern stuff, Breel. :D It's already a great step ahead that you figured out that thing a lot before than Keene. Oh, microwave incidents are a lot dangerous. :P
