I caught that reference!
I have noticed that whenever you ask anyone "Who's your favorite dog?" they always say their own dog.
And you know what? They're all right.

Never tag other people's properties. And also, read the contract.
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
That's what you get when you vandalize Dallas.
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
One shudders to imagine what might happen if Karishad were to get control of the well for himself.
...
He'd probably use it all to give himself a giant magic mohawk or something.

Aww, poor Dallas. Sorta.
Karma is the Fox of rules
come to bite you in the tail.
Unfortunately, young Dallas,
on your first act you fail.
We never saw him coming,
the Fox that knows the rules.
Careful, stealthy and cunning,
he will tolerate no fools.
Tarot has no time to talk;
Lester is still to be confined
But, for now, the glory sought
is still the torch of the mind...

So...who else read Kari's entire scolding rant in the voice of Gene Wilder?

Well, didn't see that coming.
I hope Dallas remembered to drop the scroll while backing away in confusion.
(I'm rooting for someone to read it, I want to see what Keene's going to do, I'm sure it will all work out.)

Oh great... Willy Wonka reference. Next thing you'll tell me is that there is a gum that can turn pets into blueberry pets.
---
"Gee, this gum is great stuff, I wish you're here with us Jim." "Bailey! Spit that gum out now! It's a rare prototype that is dangerous!"
Several minutes later...
"Do I smell blueberries?" King asked his wife. He walked in onto her, and he saw her as a blueberry. "Oh, hi honey..." Bailey coyly greeted her husband, swollen into a sphere with hands, feet, tail and head sticking out, the pups resting onto her warm, juice filled body.

So, that's why Karishad was there. Now where's Keene?

Just as I was reading the 'it's all there!' part, I was having a difficult time from reading the actual comic and just visualizing the scene from the movie in my head instead.max7345 wrote:So...who else read Kari's entire scolding rant in the voice of Gene Wilder?
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
He'll be using the Scrolls. Poncho said it was a Scroll of Summoning, and the objective was to use the Scrolls when they were in the sanctum. Keene is using the teams to summon himself down there, so he can grab or siphon the mana for his uses.Argent wrote:So, that's why Karishad was there. Now where's Keene?

...and so, today's lessons, (1) read the fine print, especially if it's illegible, (2) if you opening guidance is delivered by a larceny driven, one-sided wolf who keeps saying "dunno", get a refund; and (3) vandal art has consequences. Interesting to see Karishad channeling his inner $crooge McDuck and charming to note his (non- "shipping" observation) greeting, however ill-timed, to the embattled Tarot.

Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
Yeah, that scolding and belittling tone does seem really out of character for Karishad; Dallas must have really, really, really put the known universe in cataclysmic jeopardy. Foxy fortunately fixed it ............................ right?

See, Dallas, crime doesn’t pay. Also, that “good day, sir” reminds me of this:
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
To borrow an infrequent but recurring exclamation from the comic, "That's adorable!"
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
Yea ; i think that it's the very first time we see Karishad doing something by being entirely seriousCanzetYote wrote:Never seen Karishad get THIS mad before. Ouch. Poor Dallas.
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
Oh, that was pretty unexpected! Great, also Karishad did something against the nerds team, saving the mana pool, for now. Yeah, you lose, mutt! That's a really hard final boss to defeat, and even angrier, for this time... Good job, crazy fox, but maybe now you could help Tarot.

Anyone find this really suspicious? not to mention extremely out of character? Something is up with that fox....
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
Yeah, I found it out of character for the Fox. Of course, to pick up on Argent's observation, Keene is Karishad's employer but very often the Fox's help is remarkably unhelpful.

Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
Its not really that. Heck hes sabotaged keenes plans many times with his shenanigans. More like.... He never cares when people break rules, in fact his whole personality seems to be based on doing whatever he wants whenever he wants however he wants and letting others do as well. The fact that he even cares about that in any way at all makes me wonder if that's even Karishad. Not to mention how dark he suddenly got for a moment there.NHWestoN wrote:Yeah, I found it out of character for the Fox. Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
Honestly it didn’t seem out of character at all for him. I feel like the fox has done weirdly and elaborately rehearsed acts to mess with other characters in several instances. I just figured he was thinking “hm, I want to help Tarot get rid of the nerds... I feel like now’s a good time to bust out my Willy Wonka impression and use it to intimidate Dallas into leaving”. He also did a shorter act after he indirectly saved Zach in the original Temple Crashers arc, even correcting himself to sound more like he himself instead of Elmer Fudd, much like how he adjusted bits of Gene Wilder’s rant to appropriately match this comic’s situation.

Almost hoping for an Alien homage where someone has to scream "IT'S BEHIND YOU, DALLAS!!" >x'3
There are many words and phrases that can cause an experienced wizard to tremble in fear. Chief among them being "oops."
Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
Elmer Fudd ... Gene Wilder ... gotta admit, the Fox's got a great repertoire. Loved that "Alien" mirroring!

Re: 2017/11/24 - Fuzzy Lifting
it seems people think Kari is actually mad instead of 100% copying Gene Wilder's delivery of the original speech. (which actually was also fake anger, so this is a very faithful reference)
guys, he's not mad. he could have just as easily used some other trick to get Dallas away from the mana pool. the contract probably doesn't even say anything like that.
