Careful Keene, we almost lost you in the water we don´t want to lose you in the snow
Re: 2017/01/11 - Snow Adrift
Miles looks buffier, even moreso than usual.
Great to see him and Keene again.

Powering through the snow;
Searching for his boss,
If it wasn’t for his phone
He’d be at a total loss.
See what fun he has
Looking everywhere;
For his ferret boss
Who's tunneled like a bear…
Oh, Milton crew, Milton crew,
Ferrets all the way
Who can say they’re serious
When you see them play?
Oh Milton crew, Milton crew
Ferrets all the way
Why would they care what you think, hey,
When they can play all day?

Re: 2017/01/11 - Snow Adrift
I wonder how many times Miles had to search for Keene in the snow without GPS
Re: 2017/01/11 - Snow Adrift
They have way better GPS accuracy in the HP! universe!
Re: 2017/01/11 - Snow Adrift
I'm going to point out that this is the first actual one-off in over a year!

They need to send Karishad out next time so he can do that "fox pounce in snow" thing.

Keene has no luck lately.

Eheh, funny, for the small Keene is easy to get lost in the snow. Good to see him again, and he's still alive, but yeah, it's not being a lucky period for him. I agree with you, Miles, the GPS on smartphones is useful to find him. A such big amount of snow it's present here, too.

..Dear lord, when did that become Siberia?! Next thing we know they'll be a Bolshevik mouse revolution!(Again!) I think they're going to have to bring out the big guns..and by big guns, I mean the BB guns that shoot metal bbs..(Ironically, very effective at mouse and rat control like how a spray can filled with deodorant and a lighter is effective against wasp nests....)

Just be glad you didn't freeze to death, Keene.

Not the first of his snowy antics Keene sure has a thing for winter

My GIS professor wants to show this strip to the class on Tuesday.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

I cannot recommend doing this, it's pretty dangerous.FancyHat wrote:a spray can filled with deodorant and a lighter is effective against wasp nests....
a) You have the whole nest of angry wasps against you.
b) You may easily burn down something you don't want to burn - things like your house...
c) You're being cruel to poor animals.

I'm sorry what? When did Beelzebub's personal creation on earth become "innocent" and "harmless"?Render wrote:c) You're being cruel to poor animals.[/color]FancyHat wrote:a spray can filled with deodorant and a lighter is effective against wasp nests....
Bees are bros, wasps are the kind of thing you don't wish upon your worst enemies.
Re: 2017/01/11 - Snow Adrift
To other insects, wasps are basically the Xenomorphs from Alien.
Re: 2017/01/11 - Snow Adrift
While I have seen successful application of the spray can flamethrower to deal with a wasp nest, I have to back Render's opinion as a mod due to this forum having minors as members. And we all know kids don't always think of the consequences of their actions and I've seen spray can mishaps...

Wasps are eating lots of other insects, they feed their offspring with them.

My GIS professor used this comic in his lecture today. ^^

I think the question was... what was the relevance of the comic to the lecture?

Geographic Information Systems <- GPS is a big part of this.
