as he nobly offers Boris the first go
and let's his chest put on a good show.
He didn't even need to give him the elbow
as his muscles lay big Boris down slow
Mungo's clearly been training in Glasgow
to lay out a sophisticated combat tableau.
Now the next test for the mighty Commando...

Well at least Boris wasn't afraid hitting someone, who is the same size as him (or at least kinda).
For now we can at least say for sure that Mungo is tough

I was just saying that a couple of strips ago, Mungo looks like a big dumb sloppy doge, but apart from his little door problem he's one smart puppy.

Also, there's a huge debate over whether Houdini ever asked people to punch him in the stomach or not, but it is documented that he died shortly after taking a punch... so don't try this trick at home. Unless you're a cartoon character, of course.

Boris's spirit is now crushed. He found another dog he could not punch.

I really liked the way Boris was drawn just before he punched Mungo as well. Really tough looking, especially those eyes.

I can't help but every time I look at Boris, I keep seeing a buffed up King- actually, I wonder if King will show up in this arc, probably will since it's a Fox arc, but I think he'll only be there for a scene or two, if he does show up anyways.

I think Boris is regretting his decision now, let's just hope he has health insurance.

Statistically, given that Satau was ruler of an Egyptian dog kingdom in 5,000 BC, it's likely that every canine with old-world ancestry is Satau's descendant.

As an aside, while dogs have been living with humans for over 10,000 years... it's probable that cats weren't domesticated until about 2,000 BC (and ferrets had to wait until about the time of the founding of Rome).

Just because someone lived thousands of years ago dose not mean they are related to everyone else. The whole reason breeds exist is because they are separated from other dogs in order to promote a sort of artificial evolutionary path. Racial groups for humans are much the same as isolated groups caused some traits to become dominant in different regions.

Just had a thought: how do you all think Grape will react if she gets a chance to meet Mungo? She's already got a beefcake weakness but when you top it off with the fact that he seems to be a pretty nice dude, well hopefully she can keep from openly drooling over him!
