I've got the feeling Tarot knew this would happen, given that she told Karishad to stay out of it.

Also, it seems to be in these sort of arcs (according to fiction in general) when people really start to get ticked off.

The last comic was still part of the Housepets 5000 BC (part 1), right? So... why was this make in 2 parts? Not that it matters, just wondering.

I'm guessing that they're where Pete's temple WOULD be in the present. Basically, they're in Babylon Gardens long before anything was there. Hope they can still contact Dragon, they're kind of in trouble, otherwise.

Africa or Middle East? Someone enlighten me.

Figure Middle East because Henry Milton wanted better treatment for animals, found the temple, and hoped it would bring that goal. Moved the temple and named the location Babylon Gardens, as a reference to near where the temple was discovered.

Just my guess.

Which is where they might be. They WERE IN the temple when they used the spell. They could be right outside it now... then.

This comic mentions Akkad, one of the ancient Mesopotamian empires (though I don't know how Peanut in particular happens to know what Akkadian looks like)

So... does this mean we're going to see the group start walking around with Zweihanders, swords and/or Bows and arrows while wearing body armor?

Also, I'm suspecting that if they are to return to their timeline, they're gonna have to deal with:

#1. Racism. Satau mentioned that felines and canids didn't get along very well in his time, being described as acting like siblings who'd fight and possibly kill one another for the right to sit on the throne. This likely means they're gonna have to find a way out of the past and get themselves BACK TO THE FUTURE! Or otherwise, we'd likely end up with a Cynical Peanut, and I really doubt anyone wants that...

Which leads to problem #2. Mana issues. Tarot likely has to look for more mana, which would mean she'd have to make a deal with the Cosmic Nerd's past selves, who'd want to know what has happened in the future. If they can't make a deal, they'd have to find Alternate Sources of power. Hopefully, one point twenty-one gigawatts of electricity is enough...

On to the next problem, #3. Tarot's power decrease. Or rather, her new lack of control. The spell was intended to send Satau back and not to drag them along for the ride. And even if they find an energy cell/Mana block, or still have some remaining, what's to say that the new lack of Control won't send them to some Other random timeline? As much as I'd like to see Max driving a Supped-up armored Muscle Car while wielding a Sawed-off shotgun, Peanut running around with Deus Ex robotic arms wielding a Zweihander, Tarot slaying Dragons via Thumm (Dragon Voice) or Grape wearing old west attire complete with Colt SAA Revolver and Lever Action rifle,

I think, No, I know that'd be too dark for this comic.

And the final issue. #4. Timeline changes. Just by time traveling to 5000.BC alone, the Babylon Pets have likely already caused a time paradox. While their intervention will likely start up Feline-Canid relations at an early stage of civilization, it might also cause bigger problems, like a Housepets! version of the KKK, which would send this comic spiralling down the PG-13 and Above types, and I know Rick doesn't want that. Also, some of the characters wouldn't be born as a result... Unless Canids and Felines are *Ahem* Compatible in this universe

...

Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. Though I hope they are, if Fido and Sabs decide they want a few... Puppies... or is it Kittens?

John was right their mere existence in that timeline is a paradox let alone the interaction with Satau. They have shown him modern technologies and techniqes capable of altering history. The thing is that Dragon will not be able to see them because of the lantern and Pete is locked (hilariously) in his temple after telling Dargon she had no patience. Kitsune can see them but that wold mean he would be aware of the no weird time junk rule violation.

In this comic, Pete implies that the game has been going on for 7,000 years. Given that the gang is now at 5000 B.C., and we are currently at 2015 AD, I'm going to postulate that they have landed at a pre-game time, and maybe they'll get to meet Pete and Dragon as the game first gets underway. Or something along those lines.
