It'd be a pretty big letdown if that Mana Egg just gets used to send Satau back to his time, especially since it was built up for something greater than that.

presumably someone arranged for him to catch the pneumonia/the pneumonia was just a coincidence and something else killed him because, had he remained president, he would have become a dread overlord and caused all kinds of havoc.
