A case worthy of Sherlock Holmes.

Nice change of pace, seeing Professor Spot do a whole issue by himself. When was the last time?

A nothing like a good old fashioned murder mystery with humour. It's Get Smart but with anthropomorphic characters.

There's something I've forgot
even though it's all the plot;
I know I'm now on the Spot...
I'm off, like a speeding shot.
I forgot the Victim you know
If there even is one to show.
I'll get one so fears don't grow
although my failure's a low blow.
I've read a lot of Miss Christie
but I've always been to hasty
to see what Marple saw.
The clues I've missed before.

I suspect someone has been consuming quite a lot of detective fiction, particularly that involving Hercule Poirot.

With this chapter of 'spot (professor)' I noticed that we never see spot (professor) and spot (superdog) together. I think their may be a link but not sure. I'll have to investigate futher.

Also rick tagged 'spot (superdog)' but I only see 'spot (professor)' I think i found a clue.

EDIT: Fixed typo

Another weirdness made by Spot, this time in the professor clothes... But why he has to act so? :P Is he tired to be a good superhero? Probably, is just that Peanut is short of worth ideas for his comic, but this one isn't bad... ;) Maybe Spot the professor is the villain... Spot, it's certainly you who's attempting to plan the murdering, but why don't complete it before start to do the investigation? You always have to go to repair your "mistakes"... :P Stay away from him!

He could have, but then it wouldn't be so much a mystery as a sign of Peanut seriously needing therapy  .

This week on Spot (Professor): Can you spot the murder?
Spot seems pretty quick to spot that Captain Lem was actually Mr. Chester, maybe the whole time he was in league with them!
You know, Spot seems to be in quite a spot of bother...

I find that the Spot comics are among the best written in the comic. Though less ambitious, being more self contained, they are so undeniably witty. Peanut is actually quite brilliant.
