Rex Holloway, huh? That's the most human-like name out of the cast. :3

So is Rex a bulldog or a mastiff?
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

So Rex's surname is Holloway? Okay! Since the arc began I was wondering which family the Holloways were. Now I'll just go add that info to the wiki!

I think Rex is a mastiff, since a bulldog would be much shorter. But I don't really know.

Lucrecia, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT involve your mother!

So it's a litter of one, poor thing, all alone,
now that any forebrothers have flown.
They'll have their own dens, their own home,
but still be close, like the family I call my own.
How many of those diapers can one cub need
and did we need to cut tail holes?
If he's bullied, perhaps DeathAxe will intercede
He might like the idea, who knows?
A younger brother he doesn't share food with;
One he can protect from all the Eagles?
Cross species adoption pacts are no myth,
I saw them do it on 'My brother's are Beagles.'

Rex Holloway. Cute.
Also, stylistic-wise, I must admit I am happy to see him without that goatee.

Ising, and his dad is supposed to be a doctor in my ficcie. But at this point, there are way too many differences to correct them, unless I do a reboot, and that would be a real killer, so I'll leave as it is what I put at that time.

So now we finally learn the owner/adopted parent of Rex.
Lucretia deserves to have her own arc at long last, she's so much fun.
"Please do go on" Rex sounds rather posh which fits his personality somewhat.

My mom has taken care of babies for as long as I can remember. I'm going to have to agree with Rex in that last panel.

I can imagine Rex being the cool and protective big brother figure.

Yay! I've always liked minor characters like Rex. He's looks intimidating, but he's soft enough to use as a pillow. (And now I have a story idea. That wasn't supposed to happen)

I hope Rex gets a little sister!

I do wonder how toddler/older pet dog relationships work in Housepets!

And no, I'm not including the times when the children charge at visiting pets.

He could be a Bullmastiff. Those are freakishly tall.

And Star, the Holloways are a couple. The owner for Rex at the end of "Housepets! Christmas" is a guy.

Judging by Rex's response to the diaper thing, I have a feeling the Holloways already have at least one human child.

Oh so it's Rex's Mom, meaning he's Rex Holloway.

I only recall seeing Rex's Dad so I didn't realise before.

Ha, I forgot about Rex, great to see him again. Great name too, Rex Holloway. :D

I bet all of those diapers will be used up in no time, I am not changing them though. Wonder how much she got.

I really need to reread the comic so I stop forgetting characters.

Good luck with that, Housepets! has so many characters it's really hard to remember them all. Although the cast and their characterzation is one of the strongest point of this comic :D

I hope we'll learn a lot about Lucretia and Rex and how the chemistry between the two will be

eyup. It's all fun and games until someone starts shipping
I kid. It doesn't have to be romantic chemistry, even though that's what it usually implies.

At the very least he's been around human babies for a long enough period of time to know about their diapering needs.

Rex might have some infant cousins which is how he knows that they go through diapers like mad.

Glad to see Rex back, this character has a lot of potential to express, better with an Imaginate! arc. ;) So, Mrs. Holloway is Rex's mom! :D You're going to experience nice/terrible things with the baby, Rex. :P How funny and cute you are, Lucretia. :D You have no idea of what human pups are able to create inside diapers... You'll need to buy a lot more of them, for the joy of this industry and the sorrow of your wallet (the nose will get used to the stink, that will be nothing). :P
We got to see only Rex's dad here. So, his mom is probably black skinned too.

Possibly, but the first thing that hit me is that Lucertia doesn't realize how long and often human children have to change diapers as opposed to what she saw on television. If she bought them for the child's whole lifetime... i'm guessing she bought like ten bags of them. =P

I also wonder if her thought process was "How many diapers would my pups need?" or "How many times did they change diapers on Television?"

Rex doesn't seem like he has a younger sibling at home currently. I'm gonna guess his owners have nieces and nephews that were babies that he looked after.

My guess would be how many times they change on tv, as her pups grew up in the wild, which means they would need no diapers. :P

Hosting a human baby shower though would have her think of her own children as humans at one point, i'm sure. ;)

No, it's more like that in the forest it doesn't as much matter where said potty breaks occur, so diapers probably aren't needed.

As they say, does a bear...?

Well, that's a pretty obvious rule to follow, but in the forest there is plenty of room.

So, while we have a number of areas that are allowed, they probably instead have a number of areas that aren't allowed.
