Nice strip and joke. ;) This can prove that many anime characters are just students with their school uniform, and it's so for both the genres (neither I know all those names...). It's not so original... :P Yeah, the eye scar does the difference here, and it gives a double win for Joey, because Lester hasn't recognized the specific character from it. :P Come on, Lester, you're talking about care at the tiny details in order to cosplay a character, and now you're failing from not looking at the only present one?
Joey is too adorable here! :D Good to know the name of another one of Joey's creepy friends. :)

He must have been throwing out random names. Tai from Digimon never had a jacket like that.

I love it when my favorite webcomic makes inane anime references.

Joey is totally not Rick's inner nerd.

good thing noone said Akatsuki to Joey. Someone would be strangled pretty quick.

I watched anime in the 90's, but i highly doubt i would get to know these guys. YTV only had Escaflowne and Dragon ball and DBZ before finally getting the late night anime around 1998.

huh, you're right. it explains that, the eye mark, and the thingy on the right front of his collar.
I wonder if Lester would have ever gotten there, since that's a video game instead of an anime

Well, this was a fun one. Don't know too much about anime, myself. Heck, really out of touch with the Pokémon series. I've only been playing the games. Digimon was great when I was little, and only DBZ I watch is abridged. Don't regret that last part.

Um no sir, the joke is that so many Anime characters wear Gakurans. There are plenty of different Anime Artstyles.

Saying all anime is the same is like saying all cartoons are the same. Just because its not from your country doesn't mean its all the same.

YES! A comic about Joey. As you can tell, I like Joey.

Also, no Joey's creepy friends tag? Aww... I liked that tag. Good to see names though.

More than I knew. I knew none. My current reach on Anime extends to Pokemon and some Bleach. Also things you would think of as Anime, but were made outside of Japan, like Avatar and Code Lyoko.

I need to start watching more anime.

I also had no idea what a Gakuran was, and now I do, though I'll probably forget the name.

I need to get back to that online Japanese language class I am taking. I have completed 1 1/2 lessons. I know good morning, hello, good evening, and Nice to meet you, my name is David. That's it.

I 100% agree. Anime may be the same style, but they are all different. They also may have a lot of the same things in them and be similar though. :P

Yes it is. I just got back into it after years of not watching it. I found out it is free on HULU. I didn't even need an account. There is also a youtube channel with every episode, and that is commercial free.

Also, I think my picture needs to be changed to a picture from this comic. I need to do that now. :D

Yeah, I need to get back to watching that. I have to download Hulu on my 3DS.

Also, at least we get to see Joey for the weekend. I don't have to worry, because I can see him, and it will make me not as eager for an update.

I also changed my picture, just too good to pass up. I love this comic, this update is probably one of the best. :D

Also, I can't believe my love in Joey came from Housepets the Series. HOW DID I NEVER PAY ATTENTION TO HIM BEFORE I READ HOUSEPETS THE SERIES! :P

Yes, but discussion of it should be taken to a more appropriate thread for it. The chat thread or tv shows thread for instance. ;)

But this may mean no more "Joey's Creepy Friends" tag. I do love how they have names though.

Also, nice profile picture. :D I think I have seen it somewhere before, but I don't know where...

Maybe Joey should have dressed as Sailor Moon. That would be the best costume.

While I do not, personally, put much concern into post count, here you go! You can find out how long ago you made your 100th post by determining how much time passed in the intervening period.
