I caught the Zelda reference instantly. Does that make me a hardcore gamer?

Bahamut uses the word "beloved" to describe King. I'll assume he was referencing Bailey's love for him, because I don't know of any other person, housepet, etc (other than maybe Fox) that would consider him "dear to the heart" or "dearly loved".

So, uh, hey! Bahamut, did you GAIN weight? Looks good on you..... sort of.

So, is Bahamut the creator deity or something?

Also, apparently Rick plays ZELDA! Yay!

That was kind of a doozy. I think it might take a-whale for King to recover.

I can just imagine how this might end.
Bahamut: Alright King, now that everything is back to the way you wanted it, I need you to do one thing for me.
King: OH NO YOU DON'T! Not this time. I still have a few more demands for the griffin.
Bahamut: And?
King: Me and Bailey have been in the market for some new Badminton gear. And Pete has everything that we need.
Bahamut: *Realizes what King said and grins devilishly* I'll see what I can do.

It took me a while on Google to realize Bahamut is both a dragon deity (in D&D/Final Fantasy) and a giant Fish God (in Arabian Mythology), because when I first saw this I thought "Why is Bahamut a fish? He was a dragon in the trial..."

Although now knowing this, the Wind Fish in Link's Awakening makes much more sense.

Also love how much guts King has for openly expressing his hate towards the being essentially responsible for the creation of Earth. :D

Does it bug anyone else that the main thing said here is "I hate you"? Even if the almighty tells you you're not in trouble...
?
I can see that JoeKing would think that, and I can see how he would say it, but...really?
...at least it's out of the way now and we can get down to business...hopefully.
Bahamut said, "Interesting, most mortals I have to coax to that point." I take it to mean that he actually prefers to get mortals to say they hate him, because he knows that deep down all of them do for one reason or another. Getting to the point of admitting it is probably the first step towards healing.

You are assuming that Bahamut cannot dearly love all mortals in a way that would not be at all similar to someone else that asked people to love one another.

I didn't know dungeons and dragons was considered worth of history class inclusion.
Bahamut isn't from D&D, and wasn't a dragon originally. It could be a whale, or a sea serpent, or a terrible storm, any kind of huge destructive force on the ocean.

At least he didn't appear as the Genie from Disney's (debased) version of Aladdin. I am not sure I could take Robin Williams at this point (though Bahamut's last line would fit the character perfectly). Oh great, now I hear Robin William's voice in my mind for Bahamut!

I really like the sheer size of him. Godzilla be darned.

Hmmm... *Sees a saddle on his back* ... I get the reference... but something tells me... King is going for a magic carpet ride.

I admit I was disappointed we didn't get Bahamut without his visor to scare King grey. Without reason, of course. X3

I surely did -- good eyes you've got -- it might have passed for another galaxy!

Most folks don't realize that Bahamut likes to visit the worldly planes, and even occasionally appears as an extra in movies. For instance, he played the part of 'George' in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

Wouldn't Rick have to comprehend it in order to draw it? I mean, dimensional geometry alone can get pretty complicated. I don't want to think about integrating in the non-dimensional planes of un-existence. :?

So that's Bahamut, the whale with infinite faculties who loves mortals and likes to be hated by them. It's kinda crazy and nonsense. :P King isn't in troubles? Provoking him, it's obvious to get that reply... :? Poor King, and Cerberus wished him to "have fun". :P I wonder how will go on, Bahamut could be another big jerk: show off the best of your faculties and help King...

Thanks for the info about the Legend of Zelda games reference, couldn't never get it...

Could 'Beloved' be more of a cosmic title? Like, since Bailey is Pete's Avatar, that makes King's ultimate role that of her catalyzing agent, therefore if her title is champion, his is "Beloved of the Champion" or somesuch?
