Title Text: Airbud is a lot more interesting when you know what the dog is REALLY saying

Peanut is always super-adorable.

Also, you all just lost the game.

Again.

And then Peanut runs home, never to go on dates again. The stress of the game is just too much for him.

I also get a kick at seeing Tarot having surprises here and there. You figure she would be prepared for this, but I personally think she left the spoiler charts at home. =3

So either they really can just understand dogs or Tarot is using some kind of psychic projection thing. Both of these, again, make me question exactly why Tarot let Max and Grape go without at least informing them about this.

Also I'm guessing that it has to do with the game ending in a year, Or that the whole reason she started the relationship with him is to help Dragon win the game.

DAGNABIT TAROT! I've been winning for a solid 11 months and then you just ruin it! (I've now been reading Housepets! for a year)
Okay okay, I'll admit, the alt. text pretty much proves that dogs can talk but cats can't.

Wasn't the last time the Game was mentioned was back when the comic wasn't colored?

In the context that Peanut means, yes the last time that version of The Game was talked about was when it wasn't colored.

THE GAME however, looks like some of the speculation was right, what sort of juicy details will be revealed?

Huh, took a second for me to realize what game Peanut was thinking. Oh, well, I typically don't remember trivial details.

And Tarot, do you really think it was a good idea to bring up something like that on a date? I'm not sure, but I don't think it's recommended to let your boyfriend know that something really serious will come up at the beginning of the date.

Love her reaction in the last panel, though. It's like she's seriously starting to notice what she'll have to put up with.

Yeah, it seems Tarot is not omniscient, as for the game, Peanut actually thinks she is talking about this game.

I was actually gonna say that I thought this is what she is going to tell Peanut:
Tarot: "So yeah, the Spirit Dragon is fighting another spirit, and in order to win, I have to beat the other spirit's main lackey, who happens to be King.
I need you to help me get a head start by breaking King's legs."
Peanut: "Okay! : D"

This is the second witness to Tarot talking who just happens to be wearing 'Dragon Green' clothes.

In matters concerning 'the game'
Tarot is a newcomer without knowledge
Nothing, once admitted, can be the same
and it doesn't work to her advantage.

Thinking of the game means you'll lose;
a fact Tarot has now acknowledged.
It's the worst term she could possibly use
It's no wonder she's embarrassed!

There's only one little old lady here
shushing the dogs in the cinema pew
She's wearing some familiar gear
It's got kind of a... Dragon Hue?
There's nothing to stop Tarot talk of the game
but is the Dragon watching all the same...

At first I thought that woman
To a chinese granny stereotype,
But now, as pointed by the welshman,
The image of the dragon I cannot wipe.

She does seem to carry,
Right there, over her head.
A tiny serpent, green and creepy,
On this, some light needs to be shed.

This an obvious foreshadowing
O weird stuff to soon come.
They better start quickly revealing,
Ere our interest be long gone!

All it means is that the dogs in the audience can understand the dog on the screen. Also, I imagine the old lady would hush them whether she could understand them or not.

Does anybody else think Peanut looks like Air Bud in that last panel?

Either Tarot is using Jedi mind tricks on the population, or Gallifrax is definitely NOT like our universe. There's no way they'd get away with these kinds of shenanigans in a universe with this high a reality level.

More like the universe of Disney and Bluth.

Technically, no we have not. Especially since Tarot wasn't specifically mentioning 'the Game' social game. You only lose if you suddenly think of the social game. Then you've lost. Also, blatant baiting people to think about the social game doesn't make them lose it either. You can only make them lose using guile, for instance, suddenly going "You lost." out of nowhere. Now, Peanut did lose because he thought about it instantly and panicked. That my friend is how you lose.

By the way, after reading that and you instant panic thought about the game, then yes, you have just lost.
