Atmospheric drag would cause it to slow down enough to not destroy anything, kupo. Except for King; he shouldn't have survived that.

If that true Bino is Carface for sure. I just wonder how far the All Dogs Go To Heaven resemblance will go in this arc.

Last panel, lol at what King said. Now the arc has a name, this should be fun.

Doesn't mean he's going to the other place--besides, he's not really a dog.

This is just a random guess but I suspect Time travel of some sort. I bet the Watch lets King go back (and possibly forward) in time to change his Fate. However this is just a huge guess and I have nothing to back it up.

I like the reference to a Don Bluth movie.

Man gotta love that, plot convenience to land on King's head.

So we finally learn the name, huh? Awesome.

King even gets hurt by his own Fate!

And an All Dogs Go To Heaven arc? So is fox going to be that dachshund?

EDITS: Hey, Fox is there! Wait....

What are Fox and King doing walking around at night? Was there a prank involved somewhere?

I don't see Fox anywhere... and he's not even in the tags!

But wow, for King to find his own fate... I didn't really expect that. But I think it's going to be an awesome arc!

Animals have been out at nighttime before. It's not that uncommon. And do you really think that white dot is Fox?

The dot is grey, Foxstar, so yes, I do think it is Fox. Though it could be one of the wolves.

The watch has something to do with King's Fate, apparently. Maybe it counts down the time between major events in his life? I don't know...

It's the final countdown!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_IKcMl_a9A
Seriously, I think I saw a 3 in the clock. Maybe it's really the countdown for something. rants:
1)His life? Unlikely, but still probable. There were some scenes with death in this comic before. Like when Grape ate the communist mouse and when Grape and Max discussed who was going to have dibs on the bird. As long as it's very WELL written and not fogotten just because the arc ended (character wise), I won't mind. edit: maybe after he dies, he'll join the cosmic nerds and join the game as well.
2)his time as dog: This one is more probable. Maybe the clock can make him become human for a period of time. If it's the case, maybe we'll see some confrotation between King and Fox (which is something I've been dying to see since Joel was turned into King). I know it's cliché, but I would like to see Fox being angry at first, but then they would be friends again after Joel/King proves he's a good guy.
3)this one is a little bit...weird (not in a bad way). as, I stated in the #2, the clock will make it possible for King to become human for a limited amount of time. But before he decides to use it to regain his human for permanently, he discovers that Sasha's dad is actually HIS real dad. I know I'm getting into wild mass guessering here, but hear me out. Maybe Joel's mother died or divorcied his father, who now adopted Sasha in order to find a new wife or girlfriend.
Personally, the number 3 would be great fanfic material. But I can wait until tomorrow so we can see some more plot I can make more theories about the clock.

I think the title is just throwing most people off since you mentioned the movie at least 3 times so far in the series. And we know how much you love Don Bluth movies <_< >_>

I think the watch is just a elaborate disguise to hide it's true intentions for King. Joel's "fate" may allow him to do a few things:

A) Remain human as long as he wears it
B) Allow cosmic beings like Pete, Dragon or Kitsune to no longer have control over King
C) If the watch portion actually works, it might predict certain things in his life.

I don't have much of a theory other than that the spell probably runs out eventually... magic has rules too sometimes. Maybe it's a count down to when he changes back... *shrugs* And it does seem like an All Dogs Go to Heaven slightly... but that's not a bad thing at all!

Rick, you don't have to worry about under developing, it's good to strike a balance and you always do... Complicated and engaging and yet not rocket science... and from everything else you've made, I don't think you lean on the short end or the far end. Whatever you make, we'll be happy with. ^_^

I'm wondering why King, despite having a foul mouth in the past, didn't say the obvious phrase in the last panel. Is it just Rule of Funny, or is "son of a charming young woman" actually a dirty phrase in the Housepets! universe, kupo? Well, of course that'd be Rule of Funny as well, just more a universe thing than a single panel thing.

I acknowledged that it's Rule of Funny either way, but I'm curious whether it's "it'd be funny if King said this" or "it'd be funny if this phrase is considered vulgar in this universe," kupo.

Fate.... a very interesting way of expressing it through an object of which we track time. For some odd reason, I feel the same thing whenever I look at my watch. I always catch it at 5:55, or 4:44:44.....

Anyways, "Son of a Young Charming woman" I AM SOOO using that line whenever I get a chance.. This arc WILL be EPIC!

It's because [Censored] isn't really that funny as a punchline. I thought some strange substitution would be funnier.

Grrrr... I've seen "All Dogs Go To Heaven" but I don't remember ANY of it. The movie I watched repeatedly... was the sequel. Those were the days when we had these mystical things called, "Video Players..."

So, yeah, I don't get the references at all right now. XD

Good call on no time travel, DC comics treats it like it's a casual event to do it. :P

Perhaps it represents the number of friends he has made or maybe the number of connections he has in his life? Or does it set when how King acts in real life so changing the timer causes him to change personality.

Possibilities.
