First thing i was thinking also was a Canadian cat. Why do i suddenly feel like i'm that cat? o.o

Grape seems to be adopting too many habits from Max as well =P

I have a hunch already about Res and Miss Auburn already, but it's not the fact that the cat's Miss Auburn. it would be awesome if i'm correct on this.

it's not as much of the color, but that it's a maple leaf he has on his collar. sure, red is the symbolic color, but the maple leaf is a characteristic symbol =p

I actually thought Res was a guy first glance....though due to my phones amazing zoom powers, I'm starting to think he is a girl....just the way his face and body are and look...
And I refer to him as a he because I still think he's a guy

I know I have a... sweet tooth, for lack of a better phrase... for coming up with guessings of the next little tidbit, but my own thought on this one is that Miss Auburn is NOT the actual author and merely the face thereof and that Grape just found the real author without even realizing it.

Maybe the whole Elan/Elan's father arc has been going too long over on OOTS but this comic just feels like a perfect setup to me.

"you here for Miss Auburn?"

"oh, ah... yeah, sorta"

Which is dramatic speech for "no, not really, not in the way YOU are, but I don't want to admit that to your face"

Then there is...

"So what are you writing?"

"NOTHING!"

Over-reaction and secret keeping indicate either, just as Grape says, Saucy fanfiction, or something else entirely.

My first thought was that this cat is Miss Auburn. Actually that's not true. That was my second thought. My first thought was that she's the waitress/hostess from before.

I mean, why else would she "kinda" be here for Miss Auburn? And be so secretive about what she's writing?

Man even if I decided to bring back nip in a tamer form, I wouldn't do that. Because I find people who do that kind of thing stab-worthy.

I'm guessing that Res is "Miss Auburn," Miss Auburn's ghost writer, her pet cat, or a beta-reader giving feedback on the next book. So basically I'm in the same "I don't know who that is but I like the character" boat as everyone else.
