At first I blamed the cheetah for being so muscular, but I have to say this is Grape's fault. She's the smart one, she should know that Max would do something crazy that will end in a comedic tragedy.

Well this certainly is one of the most information-efficient strips. It just answered all of their backstory questions in a single panel. That saved us a lot of suspense, now onward to more suspense!

Okay so I really thought Joey would come to the rescue, but otherwise I am confused as to the last panel. So Squeak has some sort of foot/crush fetish, but why does that prevent cats from eating her, and why is Spo so shocked? Well I could guess the second one but I actually need this explained to me.

That is a totally a good question. Just because they all look alike, doesn't mean they are all equally as smart/fast/strong. Know thine enemy.

Oh yeah, Tiger still exists. It's been a while since I've seen him, almost forgot he was a character. And really two medium pizzas for a month? He must have a really small stomach or be really hungry.
