I'm sorry for taking so long, there was a glitch in the forum that precluded me from seeing it. In any case, I am wary of bringing in more hyper intelligent and socially awkward characters. So ,unless that is absolutely immutable, I would suggest an increase in either luck ir charisma

The otter said with a curt nod, whiskers still quivering with suspicion

"Are you a trader? Why are you headed to the abbey?"

Tesla kept tugging on Flukely to encourage him to stand

"Come on, we can go to my workshop."

Aldryd took a defensive step back, holding his cargo closer to his chest

"Ar... Yes, Redwall is still a while's away from here, but we are heading there."

The otter paused, eyeing the badger warily

"You need to go there with us?"

Aldryd smiled at hearing his companion refer to him more casually. Before the pair had ventured too far out, the otter handed Sara a bundle of plants from his own

"I hope that gardener won't mind the delay."

He said idly as they entered the woods

Tesla crouched down next to Flukely and tugged on his shoulder, mumbling

"Come on, you said we're going to go work together, right?"

The otter stood up, grinning as he found his boots near the door

"You can drop the 'sir' from my name, I'm only a farmer."

Aldryd wolfed down his food, and then had another helping, and a third. Once done, he set his bowl aside and turned to Sara

"Are you going to be well enough to return to the abbey, carrying the plants with me?"

Tesla wobbled to his feet, still covering the spot on his head. "W-wait, you said... Together? Like, ' together ' together? " The dog began to blush harder, enough to be seen through his fur " H-hey! That can't be how relationships start, right? Aren't you supposed to ask someone out ...

Tesla was stunned, blushing with mouth agape and ears splayed. He held his hands over the spot where Flukely had kissed him, silent except for an incoherent mumbling. The little dog's legs flopped out from under him and he fell on his butt on the grass, "I... I... U-um..."

Aldryd took the bowl silently with a grizzled smile. He grabbed a ladle from above the hearth and served up stew to Sara first, then himself

"Yes," Aldyd rumbled, moving away from Sara to the fireplace, "It was a kind gesture, we out to eat. See if you can grab some bowls from a shelf, I'll get a loaf of bread from the pantry.

"Could I join you too, Lucky?" Tesla asked, waddling towards the rabbit

The otter stood up and shook his head, "He left in the night." He rumbled and featured towards the simmering pot over his fireplace, "Left that too, which is nice."

Aldryd sighed in relief and patted the top of Sara's head. Crouching next to the place where she was laying, he asked, "What happened lass, are you alright?"

"Oh, are you leaving soon, Flukely?" Tesla asked, staying well outside of the ball's path

Esper

Tesla rubbed the back of his head and sighed as he walked towards the prone Flukely. Crouching over the other dog he extended a stubby paw in a silent offer of help

The otter frowned and gripped Sara's shoulder and trying to shake her awake, "Come on, up...!"

Aldyd woke up slowly to the noise of his guest's sleep talking. He sat up from his chair and looked around, holding his head groggily when he spotted Sara. "Are you... Okay?" He called over with a yawn
