Sasha looks like she doesn't want King's—or anyone else's—puppies anymore. I really do think that this is yet another thing that is connected with Sasha's poor upbringing, even for a dog brought up more like a pet. It's clear she needs to be re-educated. Here's a pretty good question: Where are Lois and Marion living now? Clearly, they are already well-adjusted to the human world, being former humans themselves. They don't necessarily have to be in the program, especially if they are on good terms at least with Lois's parents.
