Re: What Are You Doing Today?

I’m packing my bags for my bus trip to San Antonio tomorrow. Going to check and double-check that I have everything that I need on my carry-on and what I need for my main luggage. Then it’s time to put in some relaxation so I can hopefully get to sleep at a good time tonight.

Re: 2020/01/15 - Talent Show

This continues the thread that I saw in My Life As A Teenage Squirrel. At the end of that arc, I took note in a forum post of how much of MLAATS seemed to be structured around giving the ECP a role in a good bit of story arcs in the future, and setting up engaging and interesting arcs. I'm curious t...

Agreed with everyone hypothesizing that this’ll be about Valentines Day and involve Fox. I hope we’ll get to see soon if he’s wearing an eyepatch or has heterochromia but can see just fine after Steward slashed at him. As well, I’m curious to see if this is an arc where we see more of Mungo and Fox...

Re: 2019/12/25 - We Don't Need No Stinking Badger

There are definitely pangs of bittersweetness to the way that Marion & Lois are stuck like this, discussing the potential permanence of it all, and Marion saying he only misses being human sometimes now, finding joy in his new form... it carries those usual gut-punch-y feelings that come with fi...

Re: 2019/12/25 - We Don't Need No Stinking Badger

Well, there’s the clarification. That wording and the circumstances really did have me believing that Steward was a red herring all along. Now we wait to see when Bronson and Mr. Porter show up at Keene’s doorstep... Lois & Marion are truly thick as thieves. I’m glad that they have each other. M...

Re: 2019/12/23 - The Witness Badger

Things being more complicated than Steward using the coin to try and ruin the Miltons makes the story more interesting. Steward having motives to keep the ECP from going under rather than trying to get revenge make him a more interesting and 3-dimensional character. The point of all of this was, IMO...

Re: 2019/12/23 - The Witness Badger

My understanding of what Steward is saying here is that he’s talking about when he teamed up with Thomas originally, in that one scheme, as Rikunda pointed out,and not recently. I think Thomas and Steward are acting on their own, individually, as of right now. As is being discussed, the way Steward ...

That's more what I'm expecting. Agreed. After spending this long with them and so long focused on them, we may be getting a couple of arcs elsewhere and with other characters. Re: 2019/12/20 - The Joke Is Violence

For me, the quality of the arc doesn’t really hinge on whether or not Steward was guilty of transforming Marion & Lois or helping the character who did. I think My Life As A Teenage Squirrel has been great. We were introduced to a couple of new characters outside of the typical species range of ...

Karishad is a big help, grabbing the door like that. Trying to parse what he's saying... He could be telling them to either look for the gold, or go to the ruins of the temple where they could find clues. Both of those would likely lead them to Steward. But what throws me off is how Kitsune says "It's not gonna help with what you really need~&quo...

There is also the thought that both were about to graduate high school. Marion is 17 at the start of the arc. Lois is 17 or 18. Kitsune's true form is truly stunning, but something tells me that even with the ability to turn himself into that, he won't be able to change Marion & Lois back. There's 7 strips left in the arc before the timeskip. My guess is that it's going to be a back-and-forth with M&L asking Kitsune ...
