Re: Discussion: Video Games

In addition to a cordoned-off battle area like that, I just want there to be actual adventure content all the way up to level 100. You should be able to level past 60-70 by actually playing the game. You shouldn't need to grind like that.

It was fun seeing villains on a more personal level while keeping them evil.

Also, Cozy Glow's unquestioned evilness is so weird to me considering the tone of this show.

I don't take "mushy" as meaning anything romantic. Just especially affectionate. I'm pretty sure animals tend to be more physically affectionate than humans.

I won't be satisfied unless Grape and Peanut break up and date each other. :P

I think it's kinda nice they handled the death of a parent in an age-appropriate fashion! It's a tricky subject to broach, but in reality families come in a variety of structures and it's good kids with those experiences have characters to relate to. I thought the episode was just okay, but the fact...

I think if the game makes people feel things, then that's what matters. Even if it's not much of a "game," it still succeeds at something.

That said, a lot of the popular "artsy games" still have good gameplay. I'm pretty partial to Braid, myself.

Some characters don't really work outside of a smaller role anyway. Joey is great but how would you make him a bigger character without adding a whole bunch to his character?

I say this as someone whose favorite character is Tiger.

I like to think Tarot's bubbliness was Dragon's influence, though part of it could just be Rick evolving her as a character. By being a bit more of a grump, she makes a better foil to Peanut, after all.
