Those are old movies for the most part. Today entry-level horror in form of PG13 movies a lá Gremlins aren't made. Krampus is an outlier. Liam is right. "Jaws" and "Poltergeist" came out before that rating existed. And I will argue the merits of those other films you mentioned. ...

Krampus' director did amazing work with Trick 'r Treat, so I'm pretty optimistic. I'm a bit skeptical of Krampus, it seems like it might just be cashing in on the audience who isn't into christmas films, I hope it has a story that's better than "LOL look at this lame rich family getting killed...

I loved this episode. If anything, it was great having all the villains back again even if they only appeared in alternate timelines.
