Re: Photoshopping Housepets!

Hi guys, strollin' on the net I found an high resolution B&W inked version of this strip , so I colored and minimally GIMPed part of it, trying to honour two masters in a single panel. One is quite obvious, but the second, mmm, maybe is obvious just for Joey and me... anyway, the clean version i...

Thank you all, guys. .... It was a nice job, but somebody had to do it! ;) @D3ath_0ps : don't worry, I'm almost sure that a semigod was punishing me for my hubris hacking your keyboard  @valerio : yeah pal, and considering width/height aspect ratio of the strips ( a very wide one, 2.55:1 ) ...

Re: Blank Comics

Hello everybody! I have some news that maybe could be of interest for our fellow translators: I just started a new thread, named " It's a Refoot! (a Refur project reboot) ", in which you'll be able to find not only the whole glorious first 87 strips from the good 'ol refur project, colored...

It's a REFOOT! (a REFur project rebOOT)

Hi, guys! Many of you might already be asking: Was it really necessary ? I believe so, and for several reasons. The original Project ReFur thread had a long life, and many generous volunteers contributed to make it grow, to publish their versions of those 87 B&W comics in the space of 3 years an...

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]

Well, the epic task seems to be accomplished at last, all 87 B&W canon strips colored... is this the end? Mmm, I don't think so. ;) If you are so mad patient to browse through all this thread and do the math you'll find only 62 strips, the others are unavailable due to dead links, image errors o...

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]

Gooood morning forumers! As for the last one, I found the next two somehow below actual standard, so I contacted Stu, who posted them long ago. He agreed and gave me a Go for new versions. - In touch with the ground - http://www.7live.tv/cgi-bin/x/gdmod/2008-10-22-in-touch-with-the-ground.png - Rela...

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]

Here again. Having completed the task doesn't mean that's time to stop. Looking at the old posts of almost 3 years ago (just two pages back) I've find a strip that was slightly under the standard that forumers like kiderra or Cesco have reached, so I done it again starting from Rick's B&W origin...

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]

Hi there, as I said few posts ago the count for uncolored strips in the "Italian Translation R.2" thread told us that there were only two strips still in B&W (excluding four not to be colored for historical reasons) ... and then there were none! :D - And She Said It Had No Practical Va...

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]

At the end, Renato is doing the last two remaining strips. He's doing a better work and with more time availability, unlike me. Let's wait for his posting of them. ;) As you say time is the key, and your works are very often better then mine. I hope to post both strips later today. Those last two w...

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]

Hi Cesco sorry to confute your statement about the colors, but to be in original colors the lighted white parts of Grape's fur had to be pure white in the B&W original, and they were not, they were gray, so I based on this difference the global lighting for panels 2, 3 and 4. Very happy you are ...

Re: Colored B&W versions [Refur project]

Hi nice people, last time I checked "Italian Translation R2" thread I found only three B&W strips, excluding the first three from 2007 and the strip "2009-04-08-housepets-gets-political.png"(B&W published when Rick was already coloring his strips). So, yeah, there are sev...

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!

Hi there, I'm back! Browsing through Rick's works spread on the net I found this sketch, and I choose to make the color version of it mostly because it's the closest available view of Squeak and Spo I've seen. The harder part was the removal of all the noise from the image (an overall veil of scatte...

Re: Another bit of fanart

Hi there, this is my first post in this thread, so let me give you a fact about me: I can't draw :( I'm totally, definetly, helplessly unable to put two lines together on paper. Compared to me, on figurative level, XKCD's author is like Raffaello, Tiziano and Michelangelo combined in a single artist...

Re: Photoshopping Housepets!

I'm not an artist. I know it. Just to be clear, when mother nature was distributing "drawing hands" I was probably trying to find a toilet. When I came back there were only leftovers, and that's why I've got, artistically speaking, two left hands. And i'm tragically right-handed. Is to cou...

Thanks Obbl, it's a pleasure to work on these beautiful strips.
