I think they are a fun diversion. A nice chance for some superhero parodies and a good breather for breaking up the action between more intense story lines. We just came off the emotional one with King and Sasha and a long intense one with Marion and Lois; these a nice break for some fun.

Fiddler and Keys grew up in the shelter. Delusional Steve somehow taught them both to play music to make them more adoptable...and so he'll be able to call in a favor to get them to put a band together for a concert if the shelter ever ends up needing money fast to avoid closing.

After her transformation Bino gave Devo a lot of flack over the fact that his owner Lois is, essentially, now a cat. Devo followed the tradition of many a Good Old Dogs Club member and put him in traction over those remarks. Bino no longer teases Devo over this issue.

Devo enlists in the police department and becomes a K9 officer. After having his owner and her friend devolved he promised to catch Stewart and Trinket and make sure no more humans meet the safe fate his did. He becomes one of most honest but intense officers they have as a result.
