But it lacks the cute now. Which makes me think that I prefer the older one if only for the cute.

The foam syringe would be an interesting object but the problem is it exists in one strip, if someone hadn't read through the archives they'd be like "WTF does that have to do with anything?" Solution: write around the syringe: "The Ultimate Pet Anesthetic". Then it's just funny...
