The Chat Thread: Take 2

Okay, it's been about two weeks since we last filmed. Think we can behave ourselves this time, people, and hit all our marks and lines? Quiet on the set! No no, don't touch those props, they're delicate and aren't used until page thirty-two! *smash* ARGH!

I DECLARE THIS CHAT THREAD TO BE...OPEN! Com'on now people, I expect a beautiful performance from you all. We're running out of film and that stuff ain't cheap.

Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnd...*clack* ACTION!

This is the chat thread, where we can talk about whatever the heck we want! (Within reason, of course.) This is our general off-topic thread: Thread derailments are redirected here, and this is essentially the IRC but slower and at times, better thought out.

This thread will now be restarted whenever we reach page 50. Until then, have fun, and please remember to follow the rules!

I start my actual shift at work tomorrow. I'll be there from 3:00 P.M. till Midnight, Friday through Tuesday. Basically, this week I work Monday and Tuesday, get off Wednesday and Thursday, and then it's the way I said. I was supposed to be on an awesome Transformers-themed team called "Christina's Transformers," but they created two new teams and I got shifted to one of the new ones. I went from a team with nearly a dozen new people to one with only three. x3 My new supervisor is transferring from a non-Walton division and bringing some of his folks with him (they have to go through training, though, because we're awesome and have different policies and systems than everyone else). I haven't met him yet. Nobody can give us an accurate description. It'll be an adventure, whatever else it is.

Also, I hate denying claims mostly because I don't like getting yelled at for something beyond my control. *laughs hysterically*

Yay it's back! Now y'all kids best not cuss it up again!

It's pretty nice out here right now. Usually it's horribly cold by now around here. Normally it's good, but if it's too warm it won't snow this year, and that will make me sad.

Also, I'm glad this is back, because I had a neat anecdote I wanted to mention but there wasn't a thread it would fit in, so I was sad the chat thread died. Now it's all better, so I can tell it! I saw Bill Cosby perform today, and in one of his stories he mentioned a boy who was named "Peanut." The name wasn't relevant to the story or any of the jokes, but I found it really amusing for obvious reasons.

i went to a haunted house today, and in the main area, there was a critter (bout 5 ft tall) (acctual prop from the movie, to), and it was chasing me! my *** of a friend told it to, too! it scared me,cause it reminded me of a recuring nightmare i had as a small child of a very similar monster. of all the things that could be in the main area, which you cant avoid, it had to be the thing i feared most. why!?

[Russellville, Arkansas]

When I was a little kid, I spent a lot of time hanging out at Pope County E.M.S. headquarters. The guys bragged about this all the time, with good reason. As an aside, I picked up an application for that rescue unit last year but forgot to turn it in. >.<

Around 4:55, the guy said, "it was an awesome sight..."

That would be former E.M.S. Director Ormond Peters. Awesome has a different meaning in that context.

If this forum can do custom filtering (rather than just **** and such) I hereby propose filtering "lol" to "*giggles*". That or "this cheese is burning me!"

Interesting, but lol has a lot of variations. Also, why stop there? I hear omg is getting pretty old too.

Warning: Censorship is wrong according to me, an authority of absolutely nothing. Heed my advice at your own risk.

I propose that Sleet is going too far and should be shut out of the clubhouse meetings.

I said that was rhetorical, because I figured the answer could be considered condescending and not what is supposed to be in this thread.

I would.

New topic: when people with dynamic avatars end up loading different avatars for different posts on a page. Personally I think it's cool, but I can see how it can get confusing. Your thoughts, everybody?

What are the possible causes of a leaky air conditioner in a two-story house?

EDIT: Ninja'd. For my part, I don't like those kinds of avatars period. I usually use avatars to know who's talking.

aren't air conditioners supposed to leak?

also, i try to make sure i use more than one avatar from every source, that way you can say "oh, precocious, its Psykeout" or "daft punk=Psyke"

Is that a joke? :|

It's leaking water all over the floor--that's NOT what air conditioners are supposed to do.

The only possible answer we have is that the bathtub upstairs was being drained, but 1) that's not directly above the ceiling vent downstairs, and 2) I've taken showers before and not had that problem.

I figure I posted enough that people would get to know my avatars to some extent, and my male fursona is weighted to appear 51% of the time. Plus my signature is static. ...Well, mostly static.
