Actually I'm Australian but they let American people in as well! The only nationality they deny are South Koreans.

Re: North Korea
If you ever go to the US with a North Korea stamp in your passport expect to be treated horribly. Goes the same for visiting Cuba.
Have fun though, not sure how you could have fun in North Korea.

Just about to leave but I wanted to clear this up. I live in Beijing as an expat and Beijing means City of the North or Northern City in Chinese. See you all later!Liam wrote:Oh, so you're not from Northern City, South Dakota? Well then, have fun.Agent Sandwich wrote:Actually I'm Australian

Re: North Korea
I'm back! The main highlights were finding out that everything was Euro priced (yup, that's how mean they are to tourists!), seeing South Korea but not being allowed to pass the borders, seeing the Arirang Mass Games, seeing a rehearsal at the city centre where people were preparing for another Arirang performance this October, visiting an embroidery school (creating pictures by sewing onto a canvas), visiting an art studio with some of the country's best artists and much more!

I guess they just reject the Dollar and thus use the other global currency instead.Agent Sandwich wrote:everything was Euro priced (yup, that's how mean they are to tourists!)

Re: North Korea
The next day we went to the DMZ. In other words, we went to see South Korea. The blue buildings represent the neutral borders of the 2 country. If you pass through the buildings on the south side, you've entered South Korea vice versa! The big white building is where tourists in South Korea gather up to see North Korea.

Embroidery school. If a picture is worth a thousand words, an artwork created using sewing thread is worth a million. Embroidery involves creating a picture with nothing but strings!
