Kayla got out of the river and shook out her fur. She laid down next to Lucky. "This is nice." Kayla said.

The next morning, Kayla stood up and stretched. "I'm pretty sure your owner will understand." she said.

Hotep woken early opened the clinic up from the back, turning off a small security alarm as he did with him he carried a few bags with a food like odor to them. he set them on an empty counter before turning on many lights and opening the bags. he then remembered a thought and grabbed a tray before setting a small assortment of breakfast foods on it. "bacon, pancakes, waffles, biscuts, gravy, syrup, fruit, juice, and bread and butter" he thought setting it on the tray before knocking on the extra room door leading to blood and rav inside, the tray topped off with silver domes, he knocked on the door one last time before going inside. "morning guys, got you both something." hotep said setting the tray on the sidetable and opening the domes letting the smell of breakfast enter the air. he then sat down nearby.

Rav looks up from Blood's side. having at some point in the night, crawled into the bed with him.

climbing up onto his paws sheepishly.. seeing Hotep in the room now. Umm that didn't just happen, your dreaming it..

"ill say i dint see it but im usually an early waker so im not dreaming. take a good whiff youll be hungary in a bit. decides i needed to open the clinic anyways and check you guys"hotep said

Leaves brushed the cat's jet-black pelt like falling snow. More crackled underpaw as he slowly lifted himself from the ground, reclining against it with his elbows as a shade loomed over him. He sat slumped over in a clear, secluded meadow, thick with soft patches of grass flowing with the cool, morning breeze. At the edge of the area stood several bushes and trees combing the grove, surrounding the dazed cat.

He let out an inaudible yawn, then rubbed his half-shut eyes as sunlight streamed through the trees. Musty odors of leaf mold mingled at the roof of his mouth.

"Ay... can't believe I spent the night here, of all places. I must have collapsed and dozed off at some point, probably from the sheer exhaustion of working up a good sweat, or something," he muses to himself, lifting his head to gaze up at the grayish-blue sky.

"Or from just lying back and staring up at the stars."

He heaved himself to his paws and shook his head, letting out another inaudible yawn as he stretched his limbs.

"Mm! Woke up pretty early today!" he remarks as his arms reach out past the top of his head, "I wonder if Tomas is awake by now?"

The night went by without event or incident in the patient ward, and both Petir and Melati slept through it. Dawn came without fanfare, and Petir was the first to wake up as always. He stretched a bit, being careful not to bump into any instruments next to his bed, before getting out of bed and added some more slow stretches. The old cat then did his "morning business" and washed up his face not covered by bandages, took his blanket and cover his caretaker up with it, then opened the door and walked outside, hoping to see a doctor or nurse.

Cam grumbled as he opened up his eyes. "Ughh..." He turned and saw Kayla and Lucky talking. He heard Lucky mention something about his owner, and Cam remembered that he needed to check in with his owner last night. He stood and shook his fur before turning to Kayla and Lucky. "I probably should go check in with my owner too... She's usually laid back, though. I hope she isn't mad."

Kayla lets Lucky take her arm. "Somewhere in that direction." she said, pointing in front of her.

Cam reached into his collar pocket, pulling out the map once again. "My house is at number 30, so it's over there." Cam told Lucky whilst pointing in the general direction of his home. "Kayla, do you have any idea where your house is on the map?"

"Oh, it's right here." Kayla said, pointing at house 42.

Rav nom nom noms on the bacon, munch munch.
He then gets up and goes over to nose at Blood.. licking at his ears.
When this doesn't awaken the sleep dog, Rav gets a sinister idea..
he pours some of the warm water into a bowl, and sets it on the table next to the bed, then gently puts Bloods paw into the warm water..
Let's see just how house broken he is..
I've heard this does work on humans..

Oddly enough, Petir didn't find anyone in the corridor at all, which was weird to him. He did hear that nurses and doctors work shorter hours around these parts of the world, so he guessed it might be shift change time or something.

With a sigh, he padded back into his ward room, turning on the TV and putting the volume at the lowest possible. Melati was still sleeping after all, and he wanted her to have enough sleep. He laid back and relaxed in his bed, waiting for anyone to come and check on them.

We intended to get to you earlier, but an active case of feline distemper came in, and we had to set up a quarantine ward.

Petir almost fell asleep again when the vet came in, but was jerked awake by his entrance.
"Yes, I sleeped well. Feline distemper?" he repeated the vet's words. Racking his brain, he figured it must be a severe case from the way he described it. "No problem-lah, doctor. Hospitals and vets are always busy, so I don't expect you to be free all the time."
He stayed silent as the doctor did a check on him. "No, no problem. I feel much better actually, thanks to the good rest."
By this time, Melati finally was roused from her sleep, rubbing her eyes. "Hmm... mengantuknya..." she muttured, struggling to open her eyes.
"Dah jam berapa dah ni, Melati? Takkan nak tidur lagi?" the cat said, more poking fun at her more than anything.
"Alaa, bukan ada apa--" she started saying, but when she noticed the doctor, she almost jumped out from the comfy seat. "Err, sorry doctor, I did not see you there." She was looking more flustered by the second, trying to flatten her bed hair and rubbing her face.

Snickering, Petir answered, "Oh, believe me, men find that very cute. Especially with your blushing!"

"PETIR~!" The woman was clearly embarrassed now, and she jumped and rushed into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.

"Don't mind her, doctor. She acts like that sometimes, and I do like to play around with her," the old pet said, winking at him.

"I don't feel that there's a leader or anything. We're more like... hmm... housemates. Unofficially. Officially she's my caretaker, taking care for me from retirement until I die of old age." Surprisingly, Petir was nonchalant when he said this.
