Okay I have a few questions before rejoining.

How active is this RP?

How many characters may I use?

And is there a posting limit?

About as active as the other RPs, maybe slightly slower at the moment.

Two main characters is the limit.

No posting limit as long as you don't go overboard.

I'll continue with my previous characters. What are the active pets doing right now?

Chris, Star, Meeko and Matatabi are at the panda village talking to the leader of the pandas and the leader of the panda guards after guards abducted Meeko as he was a stray.

Jess and Albert are at the bathhouse in the panda village.

Val, Bel, Rikki and Mitch are all in Val's bathroom.

Scotty, the wolf pack, Moon, Elio, Cinzia and a panda guard are all at Frances' house with Frances.

Will is at Chris' owner's house learning about magic.

Wait a minute? Magic exists in this neighborhood?!

No, magic as in stage tricks. You know, balls and cups, card tricks, pulling rabbits out of hats, that sort of thing. ^^

Depending on which time and day. If tomorrow (sunset plateau time) and after the ritual ceremonies, Bel, or even Rikki, could go help. Rikki, because she's becoming more and more part of the tribe, she'd gladly participate in all activities and learn new things. Belisarius because he still loves to hunt. Valiant will be likely staying with Scotty and his human friend.^^

Appearance : He’s a thin, wiry, type of Feral with slightly above average education for a feral due to spending several months in the workings of a school. He usually has something to trade in the dirty red bodywarmer he often wears or in his den. He has the traditional ‘black socks’ of his kind and seems to have chipped nails and teeth.

Personality. He’s affable and friendly but mostly wonders how to get the best deal for himself. He’s wandered the area but, recently, he’s found himself establishing something close to a home in the forest with very basic sanitation and a ratty mattress. He has a working socket from an unknown power source. He uses it go give him light to read his couple of tatty paperbacks. He also has a very basic room set up close to the mall but the wood is the preferred home.He’s quite proud of being able to read but tries to keep it secret at first. Is quite practised at the old 'sleight of paw' and carries lock picks, marked cards and a small collection of keys on him.

Age: 3 Human Years (About 10 Dog Years)
Appearance: Short brown fur covering his whole body, vibrant green eyes, floppy ears that are a bit larger than regular ears, is a little tall for his age, and is a bit well built. Around his neck he wears a collar painted to look silver and it has a small cookie tag.
Personality: Though he's definitely not one of the smartest dogs you'll meet, Chip certainly will be one of the most kind and loyal dogs. He often treats most pets he meets with kindness, even if they've proven that they're a huge jerk. Not only will he be nice to them, but he'll always consider them a friend, no matter what. He is, however, quite oblivious of things that happen around him. For example, if he sat in front of a doorway that you were trying to pass through, he'd only really realize it when you told him. He's always apologetic afterwards, though.

Appearance: A grey-scaled snake 2 meters in length, or six and a half feet, with a coffin shaped head, a mainly round body, and brown eyes so dark that they're almost black. He doesn't wear a collar since he thinks it makes makes him slower when he tries to get around on his own.
Personality: Scythe is a bit of a sadistic snake, one that usually enjoys being feared by most, if not all people. This came from his upbringing, of course, as his parents had made it known from the beginning that he was a deadly snake. Cunning and clever, always up for a fight, and a snake who's threats are never hollow, he's someone that's a force to be reckoned with. He has become friends with Chip mainly out of curiosity to see what would happen.

As to the others, I like Chip. He seems a friendly type. I can't see anyone having a venomous snake as a pet though, sorry, especially not one of the most deadly types in the world. Not in this neighbourhood anyway. You could have him in Exotic Acres though.

So what kinds of things do you do in Sunset Plateau? I'd like to join, but I don't really know what kind of character I should make... I figure knowing a bit more about the RP will help me make up my mind.

Okay, any recommendations for how I should introduce Chip? I'm alright with leaving Scythe out, also. I'm just unsure if there's any specific way I should introduce him.

Well, it appears to be Wolves vs Red Pandas. Pandas are allied with Animal control, which is why a squad are stalking my poor widdle foxie...

It's not versus, Welshie. The wolves and red pandas are allied. In fact, a wolf is about to marry the brother of a pet who's about to marry a panda so the two will be linked.

Basically Sunset Plateau is a normal HPU RP with the exception that there just so happens to be a village of red pandas living in the woods outside of town who've managed to get themselves considered ersatz citizens. The red pandas also have an alliance with animal control to keep the numbers of feral and stray pets down in the area, and to facilitate the rehoming of those animals.

We have a variety of pets in the town including a police dog, a computer whiz ferret, a wheelchair-bound cat, a magician dog, a traumatised ermine, a domestically challenged ferret, a shy and insecure cat, and a dog who plays at being a shrink.

Is something going to happen? Who's up?

Chris' bunch is just outside their house so they're probably easiest to interact with unless you want to see some pandas or something.

Character name: Litho Calis (Lie-tho Chal-lis)

Species: Maine Coon

Type: Main

Appearance: Litho is tall, scraggly, scruffy, and scrawny, His once bright and fluffy coat is now very dull and dingy, his fur uneven. His eyes are a sickly green and he has a bad habit of always having his claws out, but he's getting better at having them put away. He wears a green collar that doesn't fit his neck very well with a charm that reads "Loved" in several different languages. Nowadays, he tries to keep himself groomed, his fur coming back in nicely, but if you were to run your hand over him, you would notice where the patches were easily.

Personality: Litho is a quick tempered cat that tries to act aloof, but if reality he has abandonment issues and strives to be the center of attention at times. He tries to take good care of his little siblings, making sure they eat and bathe before him so he knows for a fact that they are okay, even getting them to preform with him when they're feeling down. He denies taking care of or caring for either of them when asked, calling them brats and nothing more. He flinches when you first touch him before a while of being around you, he'll grab your hand, place it on his head, and say: "What are you waiting for? Pet me." He won't hesitate to protect the ones he loves, Ryū included, and his quick temper makes this know were easily and very quickly. To calm down, Litho sings to himself.

Background: Litho was the oldest of the three show animals within an extremely illegal circus run by who are probably the worst scum bags on the face of the planet. Before the other two cats came, Litho's act was the usual, balance on things have humans stick their heads in his mouth, nothing special. Then the humans bring in two new cats to be his proteges and Litho was excited! They were basically gonna be his little siblings and they'd be one big family! Wrong. The humans took much better care of his little brother, an excitable kitten named Michael, and sometimes gave his little sister, an almost adolescent cat named Nicole, love, since she was a bit older, but he was greeted with only abuse and neglect, something that confused him. Just because this stupid little kid shows up, he suddenly doesn't matter. He felt hate swell in his heart for all humans as he got dirtier and much more ragged, his fur coming off in patches. Well, eventually Litho had had enough and grabbed Nicole, bent on leaving, but he was stopped by Michael.

"Where you going," he asked.

"Out."

"Will you be coming back?"

"...No. It's not safe here anymore, Michael."

The look of hurt on the young cat's face was enough for Litho to snatch up his paw and bring him with him. No matter how much he told himself that he didn't like the little brat, he couldn't let him befall their abuse. He preformed on streets to get money for food, people mistaking him for a mangy cat because of how skinny he had become. One day, while they were sleeping in an alley way, all three of them were picked up by Animal Control and sent to the pound. Not two days later, they were adopted and moved to Sunset Plateau, right next to Ryū.

P: 5 "I know what I saw! You can't trick me!"

Appearance:
He's the normal pattern for his species, white with black and light brown split evenly over his face. His short, short tail is a cluster of black and brown. His eyes are light blue. His color is green and his charm is a jade dragon charm. Along with this, he wears a black dragon hoodie. He owns a lot of these in different colors, but the black one is just his favorite.

Personality: Ryūjin is what people try not to be on a first date. Scared, shy, and wary of disappointing someone. He apologizes profusely for the simplest of mistakes. Despite his timidness, Ryūjin is talented with a bo staff and martial arts and is a spokescat for a Japanese line of dragon toys, which he loves. He isn't very fond of his status as a celebrity and how females, and males, sometimes literally THROW themselves at him. Ryū can often be found in trees and bushes, sometimes even running for his life away from fans and paparazzi, wanting nothing more than some peace and quiet. Oh, if only he didn't love his job so much.

Background: Ryū was adopted back in Tokyo by Akira and Ayame. Life was good and simple for him, they recorded videos of him in his handmade dragon costume and that's when it happened. He was noticed by the toy company and his journey as a celebrity began. Commercials, TV appearances, a ten episode cartoon series, the works! They moved to Sunset Plateau not long after, but they didn't cut ties with the company. Ryū is still the spokescat and he is, unfortunately, greeted with paparazzi on his door each morning. Litho, who he calls Bonsai, is his only escape from it all. Speaking of Litho, how'd he meet that crazy cat anyhow? Well:

Ryū had to literally climb out his back window one day just to escape the paparazzi. He hopped fences and climbed trees, anything to get away from the hungry picture dogs. He eventually lost his footing and fell into someone's backyard, making a noise he hoped no one had heard. He was thrown to the ground, hard, and was immediately pinned. When he finally got his barrings, he saw the greenest eyes he had ever seen in his life.

"What're you doing you, creep?"

"Please, please! You have to hide me!"

"Why should I?"

"I-I'll pay! If you hide me, I'll pay you as much as you want!"

The person seem to consider this, letting him up and motioning for him to go into his house from the back door. Ryū rushed to wherever he was directed, almost tripping as he ran down the stairs. The two sat downstairs, Ryū listening for the sound of camera shutters and the like.

"..You wanna watch a movie or something to pass the time?"

Ryū nodded shakily and the cat put in "The Lion King 2", muttering about how it was his favorite. Even after the movie was over and the paparazzi had long given up, the two continued to watch Disney movies in the basement. They've been friends ever since.
