Alright, I am really disappointed with the people who make Naruto.
They had a flashback in the most recent episode available on Hulu to non paying users that went back to the time Naruto fought Zabuza and Haku, and they got so many details wrong that I almost cryed.
I won't go into them on the off chance that someone here hasn't seen that, but it was just terrible.
It's not like they cut stuff out to save on time either, it's like they just re-wrote the entire battle.

When it became Naruto Shippuden, there weren't many fillers anymore.
They finally got back to advancing the main story again.

I remember watching TONS of filelrs in shippuden as well. sure. In the original series (kid naruto) half of the anime, which had the total of 200 and something episodes, was filler.JeffCvt wrote:When it became Naruto Shippuden, there weren't many fillers anymore.

Besides, i've stopped watching when I realized the beggining of a sasuke iller saga. I've read that people were very angry because the confrotation between Naruto and Painw as dumbed down.
I still read the manga to see how it'll end. i just quit the anime.

I've found a list fo furry animes

but, so far, the ones that interested me haved all links down. Some of them are from 1991, so it's not that much of a big schocker.

Re: Cartoons, Anime, whatever you call em!
I stopped watching the Naruto anime back in like late '07. :B
I kept up with the manga for a while after that, but even that I haven't read in a couple years just about. I actually enjoyed the pre-Shippuuden filler because most of it was entertaining and I pretty much stopped caring about the main storyline after the Naruto vs Sasuke fight in the Valley of the End (best fight ever, by the way).
I was kinda hyped again once Shippuuden first premiered; seeing the whole main cast older was really cool, but with all the "Team 7 Isn't Complete Anymore!" drama, I lost interest pretty quick.
With the manga, it's just dragged on too long. I expected them to wrap up the story like a hundred chapters ago, and I just can't be bothered anymore. *shrug*

Eh I didn't like that show at all to be honest, there was just something annoying about the characters.

A great idea.
Take two horror/comedy franchise. The television show "Tales From The Crypt" and "The Toxic Avenger" films series. Both known for adult content like sex, violence and gore. What do you do with them? Turn the into children's cartoons!

Not that I am complaining, I love both of these. But, one wonders what were they thinking.

I have seen something like 3 1/2 episodes of Adventure Time and I personally don't like it. And I don't see why other people would like it either.
To me, it just seems like a weak attempt for Cartoon Network to try and keep it's audience as they grow older, rather than try and interest the new generation that is the age of kids they used to try and target shows at.
But that's just me.

There are two zombie episodes that are pretty dark, and the episode with the Lich King. Zombies, demonic possession and near fatal accidents abound.
But I think that my favorite episode was the gender swap episode with Fiona and Cake.

"Little Shop Of Horrors" was more of a comedy to begin with. "The Toxic Avenger" had scenes including a head run over by a car and a man having his hands forced into a deep frier, among other acts of mayhem. It is still hard to believe that they made it kid friendly.CaptainPea wrote:They made a Little Shop animated cartoon tooRadio Blue Heart wrote:A great idea.

I've never seen Toxic Avenger, so I'll take your word on it, but being a comedy hardly makes Little Shop prime Saturday-morning-hijinks material. The moral, if you want to ascribe a moral to it, is essentially "Anybody would murder people if it was enough in their own self interest, so try your best not to".Radio Blue Heart wrote:"Little Shop Of Horrors" was more of a comedy to begin with. Honestly, in order to get into anime, you have to start off with a good one or else you just won't enjoy it. Naruto seemed good, but it really sucks in my opinion. Its too long and drags out forever.
Now if you were to ask me Soul eater was pretty awesome, even if the manga was better. Death the Kid is just as cool as a character can gets, I swear. Anyone who does this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il-X-7d0pW4 needs help.

I found soul eater to be quite good (with the exception of Black star. I don't care about his fanbase, he's just way to annoying). As for Ouran, the anime was funny and so was the manga. But the manga was ruined (for me at least) for me when everyone started to side with Tamaki's horrible grandmother because...muffins.KogaShinigami wrote:Honestly, in order to get into anime, you have to start off with a good one or else you just won't enjoy it. I did not enjoy Soul Eater. Bad voice acting coupled with excessive silliness makes an anime impossible to enjoy. The only characters I could stand were Maka, Soul, and Death the Kid. Ugh... hate Black Star. They made Death look like a joke. Can you make Death look any less threatening?

Did you it dubbed or subbed? I was okay with the English voice-acting, but I would have preferred it o' natural.Wanderer wrote:I did not enjoy Soul Eater. Bad voice acting coupled with excessive silliness makes an anime impossible to enjoy.

I started with sub and then went dub. They had no more subbed videos. I just didn't like the voices for some of the characters. The art style was way too childish for a show about eating souls lol.RootsofOrigin wrote:Did you it dubbed or subbed?
