I see translations from the housepets comics and I was wondering how to edit the comics text, is there a special software or something?

Just get any free editing software. Even the paint program that comes standard with Windows will work (but other better programs can make your life easier). I have used GIMP and Paint.Net in the past, and for simple edits like removing the words that are there and replacing them with your own, they work fine. =)

Here's a test translation I made, I've done it in my native language, Hebrew (I'm from Israel)

I don't have experience translating comics, but it looked to me like these topics could be relevant:

Translation How-to's (including Attention! Multilingual Site Support Coming that it links to)
Blank and Reversed
Hebrew! hellz ya!
