I really like the forum as is, actually. The only thing that even comes close to complaint is the backround being to bright-white. Maybe a %10 darker shade? Or I don't know, a pattern with dog-bones and fishes in cheerful colours?
Now I'm imagining the forum in a citric wallpaper of orange.
