I wouldn't doubt it if that was actually a scene from the next strip.

Rick is mildly taunting me with that otter being in the picfenrirblack wrote:I did nine in a row. I was done. I’ll do the ferret one later.
Okay, now it's later

Yes it looks like he is. Unlike me who said he would give you an otter in the comic as a birthday gift.

don't be redookulus.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Aren't ferrets the ones that dook? With otters you basically are listening to a squeaky toy.Buster wrote:don't be redookulus.

I have no clue how the heck that pun is supposed to work so I need someone to explain it to me because I'm slow.

Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
there's a ferret and a Pine Marten in the picture too. it still counts.
also i know next to nothing about otters and just assumed they're like some kind of water ferret or something.
My knowledge of otters:
i have seen pictures with intentionally stupid captions. that about it.

Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
My first impression of otter noises was exactly the same: they sound exactly like squeaky toys!
"Dook" is the term for the noise ferrets make, just like how "meow" is the term for the sound cats make.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I have no clue how the heck that pun is supposed to work so I need someone to explain it to me because I'm slow.
The cape comes with the promotion.
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
I’m living with a ferret, and I’ve listened to otters in videos online, maybe they dook as well, but the dook noise is a trademark as is the ferret war dance... which I am happy to say I didn’t make up and on the same note, I am deeply saddened that the Miltons will likely never do whatever the Housepets’s equivalent to it is.Champion Wallace wrote:My first impression of otter noises was exactly the same: they sound exactly like squeaky toys!"Dook" is the term for the noise ferrets make, just like how "meow" is the term for the sound cats make.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I have no clue how the heck that pun is supposed to work so I need someone to explain it to me because I'm slow.

Think of it this way: maybe we will at least get to see the Milton's dance.

OK. Just wondering. Anyway I could easily see this being on the next K-9 calendar and some other female dogs as well as Grape swooning over it. XD

I found this on the Savestate Discord of all things.
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
I remember seeing that one floating around. I think it was for a fan fic?
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
Yeah, Valerio commisioned it for his fic

Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
does housepets have a discord? if so I would like to join
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
I want to say there's a thread in the forum that covers that, but I'm not sure. Any "discordants" out there give Oded better guidance than me (okay, a kitten could probably give Oded better guidance than myself, but c'mon, somebody out there's got a real answer).OdedZeituni98 wrote:does housepets have a discord? if so I would like to join

Though just to put this out there in case it comes up again, there is a topic on the forum that has a link to join it in case anybody else wants to join and doesn't know how.
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
Thread is here, but not sure if the invite is still working. Let's just say that we had "issues" with an influx of newcomers. If y'all want to get in on this, I can provide a link to you via PM.
Now to get back into Rick's Non-Comic HP art,
Rick's caption: "meet Zach's flemish cousin, the Opener of Jars"
Rick's caption: "Jessica IS Ripley in: ALIUMS"

I have wondered for a while now what a Flemish Giant would look like in the HP world. Thankfully someone on Patreon had that exact same question.

and then it turn out that the HPU's equivalent of Ian Fleming was a rabbit, solely for the sake of a pun. (What? Res can't be the only pet ghostwriter out there.)

Well since it was a parody of the movie in the picture, it only makes sense that he would also parody the movie poster.
