Title Text: And I'd go now but nobody in this house can drive. ''I can--oh wait, right''

Uncle Jack has the nicest sense of humor :D

When baby says "I want out," they wait for no one.

Though that is a fast vet.

Just one of the many things I'm sure King misses.

King's here at last,
worrying with his wife;
old jokes work fast
and a vet fears for his life.
Climbing to be with her,
he talks of what he's done.
Elaine goes like a blur
saving the vet who has come.
These precious moments,
these patient, quiet, seconds
before the heaven events.
Quiet now, guys. Destiny beckons.

Cause the vet delivers puppies

fourth panel suggests that King ALSO sent for a lawyer. Perhaps he organized things with Keene so that his puppies have some legal protection...

Though that still brings up the issue of the pups. For a while, I was wondering about ownership, as Bailey belongs to Bill. But as they're honorary wolves, they would likely stay with the pack, who are allowed to have their own workings.

That's what I was thinking! As a pet, Bailey has no rights to choose. Technically, Bill could just come, take the pups and give them to whomever he chooses, for money or not.
King and Keene must have thought a way around such limitation. it fits them

Apart from the legal issue, King, you could always drive a Mini Morris or a Buddy Electric. I'm sure you'd find a way to handle those

Asking if King was adorable assumes he is not always adorable. You are wrong! He is always! :D

I am guessing the Vet is aware of what wolf house is like, or at least was warned.

Hmm... What would be the legal ramifications of them being 'adopted' by someone else? Like, say... Joel?

pretty sure Keene already discussed this with Bill. first, I don;t think he;d be the type to take them away, especially considering Bailey hasn't even been living with him. in fact, the wedding probably partially transferred Bailey's ownership to whoever technically owns King. I assume the puppies will be owned by the same. (Is he the wolves' pet or is he the miltons' pet like the wolves technically are?)

Legally King is owned by the Miltons, mainly Keene. He is just the wolves house mate under the second chance program. Keene wouldn't take the pups away. Hopefully

I'm aware people think Jack's joke needs updating or doesn't make sense, but I think you forgot one bit of detail:
King called the vet for someone to help deliver the puppies.
That vet that Jack is referring to is technically A DELIVERY GUY!

He's actually taking this surprisingly well. I imagined he would have been freaking out, and would have possibly fainted upon seeing his wife about to give birth.

Those previous panic moments were to prepare him! ;)

He'd probably still faint after seeing his pups for the first time though.

I'm starting to believe King isn't the fainting type anymore. But then again, maybe there are other senses that haven't been pushed yet until the sight of the pups =3

I'm also surprised the vet got there pronto as well. I chuckle at the idea that they are next door to a vet.

Since when was King the fainting type? I mean, he had a BSoD when Bailey told him she was pregnant, but I haven't seen anything else like that.

BTW: Is "well-marbled" Jack's code word for "fat"?

In the US "solicitor" means "unannounced (usually annoying) salesman". "It was a solicitation" means "it was someone trying to sell us stuff". We just use lawyer for lawyers.
Thank you very much! Translation insta-corrected

I thought the whole solicitor vs barrister thing was a kind of British weirdness, like powdered wigs. Not sure what it does other than mean you have to hire two lawyers instead of one.

He could get help from Truck and Falstaff...

And speaking of Falstaff, I would have expected a character with that name to be on the heavy side, if he's named after the Shaker Spear character:

Again Jack? Calling people well marbled? Really? Also, what's with the noises Bailey is making? ("oof", "mrf") Is it because of her belly? Other than that....GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When will the babies be born already?! *gasps heavily* I can't take the suspense!

Eh, don't be so shocked, King, you should know that the event had to come. ;) You're again worried concerning the birth? :P But yeah, it's a good idea have a vet to assist. Anyway, Elaine is right, the poor guy could get scared by all those wolves... :? Ahah, again that joke, you mischievous Jack. :D And you too, Miles: he isn't the usual solicitor. :P Well, come on, the great moment is coming! :D
Yeah, King is so adorable, in the third panel like in (almost) any panel. :)
