Yeah, right? I mean what is a TV in comparison to the feeling of victory? There are some things that money can't buy... and for anything else, there is mastercardCHAOKOCartoons wrote:See, the TV did need to be shot! He wouldn't have been able to catch the mouse otherwise!
Thank you! You got a PM.Hlaoroo wrote:How did I not find this before now? I love it! Can I please have that little picture in your signature so I can direct people here too?
Thanks! Hehe, of course not. Just as Tiger, Freddy also is a bit inspired by GarfieldFirenze wrote:Wow, it's amazing what you can find here on the forums. So far I'm liking this comic a lot! Freddy kinda reminds me of Tiger in a way (hopefully that doesn't offend ya), but he looks absolutely adorable! I'm looking forward to seeing more of this. Terrific job, Hukley.
Cheers! I got it.Hukley wrote: Thank you! You got a PM.
It shows! It also reminds me of the webcomics "Imagine This!"; "Sandra and Woo"; "Pinkerton Park" and, yes, "Housepets!"Hukley wrote:Thanks! Hehe, of course not. Just as Tiger, Freddy also is a bit inspired by Garfield
Hehe believe me, there are even more inspiration-sources . I've always been a huge fan of comics so "Simon&Freddy" got influenced by a ton of different comics . I don't even knew "Imagine This!" and "Pinkerton Park" till now... but they look great and I absolutely have to check them out!Silly Zealot wrote:It shows! Oh, I would totally believe you . I think you can find almost every idea in another comic. But don't worry about the mouse... I have a slight feeling that we might see him again...Silly Zealot wrote:Would you believe me if I told you this is the fourth comic in which a talking animal eating a talking mouse with hardly any remorse over eating a sapient being involved, with three of them having a fox as one of the perpetrators?
Hm... I have to check this... You might be right.Silly Zealot wrote:Also, shouldn't that translate as "grand prize"?
Yeah. I think you'll get a pretty nice TV fot that amount!Hlaoroo wrote:$1000? Not too shabby! I hope the judges don't find out Freddy's true lineage though!
Yeah, I think $1000 dollars is enough to make up for for what Freddy did, along with some public humiliation as an added bonus. That last panel looks like he's ready to plot his revenge on Simon, but it could be a whole lot worse. Who knows?Hukley wrote:Yeah. Aaaaaand I fixed it. Thank you for the advice and the attentive reading!Hukley wrote:Hm... I have to check this... You might be right.Silly Zealot wrote:Also, shouldn't that translate as "grand prize"?

Silly: Really? The fourth? No way! Are the four the four you've just listed? Housepets would be the non-fox one, I'm guessing.
You are right, Hlaoroo! All those I mentioned, minus Imagine This!, portray at least one talking animal eating a talking mouse,Hukley wrote:Oh, I would totally believe you . And now I wonder: which are the other 3 comics?
I'm glad to let others know of those crazy comics! : DHukley wrote:I don't even knew "Imagine This!" and "Pinkerton Park" till now... but they look great and I absolutely have to check them out!
Let me guess, it will return more powerful than I could possibly imagine!Huckley wrote: But don't worry about the mouse... I have a slight feeling that we might see him again...
Jacha-chacha-chacha-chow! ...*Sigh*...It is always on my mind.Cesco wrote:LOL, that song...
Hehe, yeah, this was kinda inevitable. Road to Success... get beaned with a flower vase?... seems legit!Firenze wrote:Something like that was just bound to happen sooner or later with Freddy. I bet Simon picked up the idea while reading that "Road to Success" book.
Anyways, I love the expressions and cuteness of this comic as always. Good one, Hukley. ^^
Yes. We need more flower-power!CHAOKOCartoons wrote:HAHAHAHA! That WAS totally worth it!
That poor flower though... he didn't want any part of this.
Maybe... or is it a third charakter who's standing behind the two others? Who knows?Cesco wrote:There seem to be a cat tail...
Thank you very much Mobi!TheMobian wrote:Haha, very cute comic. I admit I chuckled more then a few times at this :3
The art is nice too, keep up the good work!
Well, I would assume you do.Hukley wrote:Maybe... or is it a third charakter who's standing behind the two others? Who knows?Cesco wrote:There seem to be a cat tail...
Garfield did this before? I have to check that out! . I'm in the same situation as Simon... we have thousands of those nasty leaves in our yard!Hlaoroo wrote:Hehehe this is remniscient of a certain Garfield comic strip. I love it! I've actually never been able to play in the leaves like that. They actually don't fall here in Australia. We tend to have mainly evergreens.

Tora, Tora, Tora!!!
BUT... ok...kurowolfe wrote:Lol, you jumped on the bed of leaves, Freddy. You have to make it back too.
Yeah, those cartoon physics... go figure!RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:you wouldn't think a pile that small would be big enough to cover the whole yard like that. or that jumping in it would scatter them far enough to cover the side yard.
The excitement generated by a freshly raked pile of leaves gives you the ability to pass through matter. I thought everybody knew that.Cesco wrote:...
Yeah, that discrepancy is a thing, but, how did Freddy go outside? The window had to remain opened, hadn't it? And then, it looks more to be a fixed window without an opening system. These are just advices, eh.
To be honest, I thought he came through the frontdoor on the right side (which isn't visible ) but the window would have been an even better idea! And of course I appreciate any advice! So thank you!Cesco wrote: Yeah, that discrepancy is a thing, but, how did Freddy go outside? The window had to remain opened, hadn't it?
